Vista is actually very stable at this point. I use Vista Home Premium and after the service packs started coming the OS really did a turnaround. The initial version was crazy with all of the security crap, but Microsoft did a good job getting that all under control.
I wonder if I could fool them with my alumni address?
It causes pain everytime someone gets beaten in a game. That pain is called butthurt.
I haven't paid $50 for XBox Live since my subscription ran out over a year ago. I'm not a huge online player and PSN meets the need when I have an itch for some multiplayer.
I'll be buying it, that's for sure.
My Wii has its place. I love playing games like Brawl with the family and we have a great time with it. The new Super Mario Bros. is going to be another one of those fun family games.
But when it comes to gaming and "me time" I'm looking for the comfort of my PS3 or 360. Lately the PS3 the most.
I dropped my XBL when I got my PS3. I haven't been a Gold member in the last year and a half other than when I get a free month or two when it comes with a game. I definitely don't play enough to make it worth it. As owner of both PS3 and 360 I don't mind saying that the price of the PSN makes it that much more appealing.
ReBurninator on both XBL and PSN, but chances are you're gonna have the best chance of catching me in Uncharted 2 MP for some time to come.
Hopefully the PS3 doesn't see sales drop off like it did after the last price cuts. I'm not convinced that the current price is really a mass-market price, but I guess time will tell.
Really strong numbers across the board. The only system that sold less than expected was the DS. I can't help but think that market has to be close to being saturated, at least in North America.
I'm not surprised at the PS3 numbers considering the combo of a lower price and the great software that's releasing now. I was surprised to see the 360 sell as well as it did. It'll be fun to see what the sales dynamic looks like now since the re-launched PS3 truly a better value at the p...
I own Heavenly Sword. It does not, in any way, approach Uncharted in terms of visual quality. It's a great game and for its time was one of the most graphically impressive PS3 titles. But it was quickly outpaced by pretty much everything. Just look at close-ups of the main characters. You can see the corners of the polygons quite clearly in Heavenly Sword whereas Drake extremely smooth.
This is just my opinion, but Kameo on the 360 is more visually impressive to me than Ratchet a...
They won't wholesale raise the price to $100. However, if you're a monthly subscriber you're already paying $100 per year. So there's that.
What do Xbox owners that also own PS3's say? Just curious since you have your ear to the ground on this.
Not gonna happen. Although if you're a monthly subscriber you're paying $96 per year. And there are a lot of monthly subscribers. Just saying...
It was your choice. Microsoft said from the outset that it wouldn't be used for games and nobody forced you to buy the format in the middle of a format war.
I have no intention of getting into list wars, but I have most of those games and there's no way you're telling me that all of them are Uncharted quality. Uncharted 1 and 2, MGS 4, Ratchet and Clank and Killzone 2 are the only ones that really stand out.
Ratchet and Clank looks good, but really it's cartoony. The 360 can do cartoons on rails just as well. Other games on your list aren't even released yet, so when they're out you can go to the other hand. GT5 Prologue isn't bette...
Let's face it. As long as people are free to say what they want to say they are going to do it. There is absolutely no way to go through life without having to hear things that might offend you. That doesn't make it ok, that doesn't make it right. But that's just life. Why do people think that they have a right to never be offended?
Are you saying that ALL multi-plats start out on the 360 and get ported? Even if that's the case, there's no reason for the developer to not enhance the PS3 version if the PS3 is so much more powerful. That's just an excuse. There's no reason for the developer to not make the PS3 version look better.
In the last generation multiplats pretty much always took advantage of the Xbox hardware and looked better than the PS2 versions. That could be the case here. The reason that Killzon...
People are always going to blame the 360. However, if it is truly possible to create a better experience on the PS3 then developers are clearly choosing to not make their multi-platform experiences better there. Nothing says that the versions MUST be exactly the same, so to blame the 360 is an excuse. Many games also get a PS2 version, so is the PS2 also holding PS3 graphics back?
Many multi-platform games are actually better on the 360. Case in point is Ghostbusters. Is it the 3...
I haven't cared about achievements ever. I've had my 360 for 3 and a half years and my gamerscore hasn't even hit 2,500. I think I have like 37 trophies on PS3.
Until Microsoft starts refusing to certify drivers for new video cards and other gaming peripherals, causing dodgy performance and lack of hardware support for your games. That day is coming.
