It's good to see that Sony realized that name recognition alone isn't what was necessary to drive sales. Now that we're seeing some aggressive marketing the various Sony brands are finally coming on stronger.
Depends on who you ask.
Console gaming just seems to be slowly dying in Japan. It's amazing how much better handhelds do there than consoles week over week.
It's frustrating to see that people can't look beyond their own pitiful biases and acknowledge that Forza 3 is a great sim racer. It is getting great reviews. Just as GT5 will be a great sim racer. The fact that they are console exclusive means that people with either or both consoles win.
The thing about Forza is that it has never tried to be Gran Turismo. It has a unique identity and it is a different racing experience. I can't imagine why people are so hung up and fighting ov...
Prologue's been out for a year and a half, though. And it's a greatest hits title. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish with the comparison. If in a year and a half Forza 3 didn't cross the same milestone I guess you could make your statement.
I'm a fan of racers, but I've never liked "sim" games like Forza or Gran Turismo. So it's doubtful that I'll be picking either up. But good job on strong sales. For any 360 game to sell that strongly in Japan, particularly one from a Western developer, is a good accomplishment.
It doesn't matter who started the stupidity. It's all stupid.
Some strong performance from Sony this year. The smaller design and the lower price seem to be just what Japan wanted.
That hasn't been the case up until now.
By the time it hits that price the next generation will be dawning. So probably not much meaningful impact.
So what's the question?
Good news for gamers. More awesome exclusives on the way.
Cripples? Seriously? This feature isn't a system seller for 360 and it won't be one for PS3. It's just gravy.
Can't delay something that's not coming to begin with.
Won't hurt my feelings to see people buying legit consoles. I have no problems with cheaters getting banned. Could be worse. They could completely brick them.
Hardware goes through revisions to cut costs all the time. Were Sony's multiple PS3 motherboard revisions simply to reduce the chance of hardware failure? Please stop trolling.
@Midgard228
I would imagine that the majority of DRE and YLOD consumers would disagree with your expert opinion that they must have abused their consoles for them to break.
Have to admit, it is a nice tl;dr wall of text. But I'm not actually going to read what it says.
No sense in trying to explain. 80% of the people on this site believe they are engineers.
You bet they know they botched the launch. I'm just glad they've finally taken the steps necessary to empower their platforms to succeed.
