It's amazing how many people live or die by review scores. What's the big deal?
I actually removed it. I was in the beta before it became public and it didn't really get any better after it became public. Some folks like it I guess, but it just wasn't for me.
How is this news?
You do know that Wii is winning, right?
Wikipedia, huh? That's some in-depth research right there. If it's on Wikipedia it must be true.
Psst...most of those games released more than a year after the Dreamcast launched. But yeah, I get what you're saying. Some great games on your list.
Actually the launch PS2 does deserve to be there. Mine died from DRE's 4 days after the 90 day warranty expired (that's right, launch PS2's had a 90 day warranty), and Sony told me that it died because of abuse and that I had to pay them $150 to fix my $300 paperweight. I felt so vindicated when they settled that class-action lawsuit.
I got my Jaguar and Dreamcast after they had been discontinued. I got the Jag for $59 and the Dreamcast for $99. I would say that they were both worth my money. I still play Tempest 2000 on the Jaguar from time to time. That's an excellent game.
The Dreamcast was an excellent system with a lot of excellent games. Too bad Sega didn't have pockets as deep as Sony, because once I picked up the Dreamcast I played it a ton more than my PS2.
Yep, if Nintendo were to support the amateur development community instead of trying to find ways to stop people they would save a lot of time, money and irritation.
Harmonix did this with Rock Band 2. Get the free downloadable tracks, but you must use the code that comes with the game. Once it's used it's done, so people who pick it up used don't get them. Nothing new here.
I've been dealing with Sony customer support since the days of the first Playstation and I've never come away satisfied with them. When my launch PS2 died of DRE's 4 days after the 90 day warranty ended I was treated like pure crap and told that it must have died as a result of misuse. Then the DRE epidemic went in to full swing.
Sony has always been draconian about piracy and copy protection, and that's where their "activation" stand comes from. Microsoft has always be...
There will be used copies available in a couple of months. There always are. This is something I'll snag after the holidays. I just don't have time to get bogged down in it right now.
I can't remember the last time I saw a game sell out. These days they tend to manufacture enough copies to cover pre-orders and then way more. Sold out means lost sales, and they don't want that.
...and the world sighed with apathy. I can do Facebook and Twitter from my phone. This has to top the list of most lame hyped features ever.
I have $25 worth of Best Buy rewards that I'm going to use toward buying this. Tuesday can't get here fast enough.
Just a few more days...
Makes sense. The temperature always starts going down once the game releases and people quit talking about it.
Why do people like you have to go and take a perfectly good thread about Uncharted 2 and try to spark a stupid fanboy war? You need to take that stupid crap to the Open Zone where it belongs.
That makes the most sense to me.
What does "as a real gamer" mean?
