Crazy Taxi for the PSP isn't even that great of a port. It runs slower than the original on UMD. Hopefully they've fixed the speed.
Not sure what one has to do with the other, but ok.
You are exactly right. Priced like a console is the method of pricing, not the actual price that gets set. But many people either can't or won't understand that.
That's a pretty cool little gadget. Forget the resemblance to the PSP, this is a pretty feature-packed device for the price.
Priced "on a curve" and priced high are two different things. Practically everything except commodities are priced on a curve and it moves along the curve as an economy of scale builds. So, like everything that doesn't have its price set by the market it will gradually lower in price over time.
This is nothing but flamebait trash.
Heh, XDF. No room for them due to the massive amount of SDF tools around here.
I seriously doubt that Microsoft ever really intended to dominate Japan with the 360. Considering that it is an American product and that the PS3 hasn't even sold 4 million there yet it isn't really that bad of a number.
Microsoft will continue to lose money in Japan in order to learn the market and gain trust. After all, this is a marathon and not a sprint.
I like how people throw the word "force" around like if Microsoft made a new console they would hold a gun to 360 owners' heads and threaten to pull the trigger if they didn't buy it.
Nobody's "forced" to buy any game console.
If it costs too much then people won't buy it. I bought my 360 wireless adapter used for less than half of retail long before the PS3 was ever released. Worth every penny to me.
Never takes long for someone to take a shot at Forza, even though that's not what the article is about.
Work typically expands to the time allotted to it, so if there's no deadline chances are the work will never get finished. This title has been in development forever. One of the first things I did when I bought my 60 GB PS3 was download the GT5 concept demo. If I were Sony and I had a financial stake in this title I would expect a release date as well.
Most stupid piece of tripe I've read in a long time. Every rebate works this way. This whole piece is based upon how this person felt that the rebate should have worked. Personally, I'd much rather receive a paper check than hand my bank account number and routing number over to someone in exchange for $50.
I waited more than 4 months for my free Blu-Ray discs when I bought my PS3. I could handle 6 to 8 weeks for a rebate check.
Funny how the first reaction is to try to defame the source. So direct framebuffer dumps are not credible? If it were the PS3 with the better resolution the same people (^^^) would be going on and on about inferior 360 hardware. But if it is the PS3 with the inferior version then it is the developers fault or the game had to be "gimped" due to 360 limitations. You can't have it both ways.
The sheer number of morons that post here will do the place in. So many people get tired of the bickering.
Selling a voucher for a game is much different than selling the actual retail version of the game. The voucher is worthless until it is sold and activated, so it isn't considered inventory. Stores aren't going to discount vouchers if they have 50 of them that they need to sell. They'll just throw them out or send them back.
Why would I want to use my PS3 controller for a portable that's the same size as the controller? What sense does that make?
So if an article isn't a gleaming review of Sony then it is hate? People need to get over it. The PSP Go is every bit as much of a social experiment as it is a hardware upgrade. As long as I have a choice of the current PSP that's what I'm going to stick with because I like to have more choice, not less. And there is less choice. Fewer retail games available at launch and only one way to get them.
I've had my PSP-1000 for three years and I love it. There's no way I'm going to giv...
meh
The PS3 is not supply constrained. It is readily available at most major retail outlets and most major online retailers.

The above is a link to Amazon Japan.
If Microsoft makes a play for portable gaming it will probably be via Zune HD like Apple is doing with the iPhone/iPod Touch. There would be no hope for a games-only portable with the install base that the DS and PSP have.
