Over half of the games are older games that will be downloaded over XBLA, and no one's saying that they're working on them all at once. I'm looking forward to a few of these.
A site called PS3 fanboy is hardly a reliable source, and your lame username doesn't exactly add to your credibility. Of course, it is not really that big of a deal which platform is the leading one. The difference in graphics and gameplay is usually so small that is not even worth mentioning, except by fanboys.
This game looks good, but personally I'm more excited about GeOW2. Of course, I've never been a huge fan of survival horror. Still, I might check this one out.
Bungie currently has 3 titles in the works, only one of them being Halo. The other two would not have been possible if Bungie had not broken away from MS. Though they have the obligation to make Halo games for MS, Bungie also has the freedom to create new IP's that they want to make, thereby keeping employees that were tired of making Halo games.
But who said that Bungie was making a prequel to Halo? That's Halo Wars. No one knows what the new game will be about. It could ...
Sorry for not making it clear. I meant that Gordon will be transported somewhere new, most likely by the Gman, where he will become part of a new conflict. Half-Life is not Half-Life without our favorite mute scientist.
At the moment the studio is working on 3 projects, one of them being Halo-related. Hopefully no one else makes Halo games besides Bungie, but who knows. I'm actually more excited about the two non-Halo projects. Who knows what they could be.
As for the title, I doubt it will be Halo 4. Halo 3 was the end of the Halo story arc. The title may have the word "Halo" in it, but I doubt it will be Halo 4.
The episodes are meant to complete the story arc started in Half-Life 2 without being an entirely new chapter. They are extensions of the longer game.
Half-Life 3 will probably be set somewhere completely different with new characters and struggles.
Depending on the gameplay and level sizes, 10 players can be perfect. Gears of War only had 8 player multiplayer and it is still in the top 5 games played on Xbox Live, over a year and a half after its release. The number of players doesn't necessarily correspond to the quality of multiplayer. It's all about gameplay and pacing.
I always keep coming back to Halo 3 multiplayer. I love COD4 and BF:BC, but there's something special to me about Halo. The best thing is that it's always changing, and the developers actually listen and respond to gamers on their website. Bungie is definitely the most community oriented companies I've ever seen. Too bad the community can be immature and offensive at times.
What? That's outrageous!!1 Multiplayer can't be good unless it has 64 players or more! Curse you 360!!! [/sarcasm]
Most fanboys would say that the graphics are better because the PS3 is the superior system. I think it's more logical to say that the graphics are better because the team improved on the graphics of the 360 version, since all the models and environments were already created. Of course, I'm not sure how hard it is to port/remake a game to the PS3 from the 360...
Thanks for the reply, man. I'm still playing MGS4, so I haven't really used the sixaxis controls yet, but I look forward to it...
Lair was always interesting to me until I heard that it sucks, but maybe the patched control scheme will make it awesome(I like dragons).
It's a great deal. 80gb PS3+MGS4+Dualshock3=awesome...
In my opinion, a controller's not complete without rumble. But does the Dualshock controller have sixaxis capabilities? How will I be able to enjoy the top-notch control scheme of Lair without motion sensitivity???
but yea, if you are planning on buying a PS3 this year, I would definitely recommend this bundle...
You just say that because they gave MGS4 a bad review. I agree that it was a poor choice of reviewer for that one article, but I have seen many great articles and reviews from Eurogamer.
I can totally relate to this kid. I also watch shows about games and write on games forums!!! And I always used to be a Nintendo fan. And traded in my Wii for a PS3. I must be ultimate proof that Sony beats Nintendo!!! I'm amazing...
But seriously, is this news. It's a parent talking about their child's gaming experiences. Not really a big deal. No one is winning and no one is ever going to totally win. One console may end up selling more than the other, but as long as e...
I know the announcement is a big deal for Sony as a company, as the game was one of their major exclusives, but fans of the game are not affected in the slightest. Oh no, now those Xbots will be able to enjoy the game as well. They do not deserve it. Please.
It's not like they are making it 360-exclusive. If this story is true, than this guy is really messed up. I never condone suicide, but especially in a case like this.
Ever since last E3 I've been anticipating this game, and now it is finally almost here. As a Valve game, I know it will be good. The only problem is that it comes out right after GeOW2, which I am anticipating more. Maybe I'll just wait until the holidays.
Like half the games that are coming out are published by EA. Of course, that's not to say that all EA games are bad. I personally loved Battlefield: Bad Company, as well as many other EA games.
I have heard, however, of their shady business tactics and tendency to buy out any developer they set their eyes on. I don't necessarily hate EA, but I am certainly fearful of the company's size and behavior.
Impressive. Usually I can tell which games use it.
While the graphics created by the UE3 are not the best, they are still pretty good, and that is all that matters to me.
Many games running on the engine have great gameplay as well(GeOW, Mass Effect, etc.) which is a bigger deal than surperior graphics. Gears 2 looks amazing so far and Mirror's edge does as well. It may be an old engine, but it is still doing a decent job.
I expect tons of demos from such an important industry event. GeOW2, RE5, Mirror's Edge, Fallout 3, etc., etc. There were plenty of demos showed off at the show, yet next to none of them were offered to gamers at home. I enjoyed the Too Human demo, but I would have liked more.
With all the negative attention the game's been getting, the only people who have anything good to say about the game are normal gamers. Critics have been downing it for months. I'm not saying that the game is amazing, as I have only played the demo, I'm just saying I saw low scores coming. Critics disliked the demo, while I liked it, so I expect the same to happen with the full game. Maybe not a first day purchase for me, but I will definitely check it out later on.
