I had some issues with the first Ninja Gaiden, but after playing this game for the past few days, I love it. It's a great action game, and a nice break from the shooters that dominate the 360 library. 8 out of 10 is a great score, and to me that is a good representation of the game. Not perfect, but still awesome.
I assume the demo is the same, more or less, on both consoles. I thought it was amazing, much better than expected. I didn't expect much from the singleplayer, as Battlefield isn't known for SP. I found the characters somewhat likeable, and the graphics and gameplay are excellent. The multiplayer, though one map, is also awesome, very similar to the Battlefield games of the past. I can understand COD fans not enjoying the game at first, as it's not quite as easy to kill someone, and ther...
I'm not sure what to think of the game right now. At this point it looks like it could be awesome and deep or garbage. Hopefully it will be an amazing game. If not, there are a huge number of other games that I am anticipating, so it won't be a big deal. Hopefully a demo will come out well before release(BF: Bad Company), not after launch(Ninja Gaiden).
but is this a reliable source. If this stuff is true, than my anticipation of this game just doubled. Can't wait...
That stuff was awesome, at least to me. Halo 3 was definitely over hyped, but the experience was amazing(midnight madness). My guess is that MS will start mass producing more Spartan helmets for this release, this time wearable, until lawsuits start pouring in. The legendary edition was worth it just for the helmet. I hide my money in it...
I agree that guitar hero is nothing compared to actual guitar playing, but it is a fun game to play. I don't get why he would comment on the game, unless he sucks at it or has heard one too many people bragging about their guitar hero skills. Expert guitar players are not necessarily good at the game, and guitar hero experts are not necessarily good at playing for real. One is a musical instrument, the other is a video game. Not all fans are wannabes, just a few idiots.
As f...
One part of the article mentioned that Jack Thompson is related to Howard Stern's switch to satellite radio: "'I am “guilty” of being right and ahead of the curve when it came to Howard Stern and as to Grand Theft Auto. Because I took on Bar complainant, Al Cardenas, the Howard Stern Show is off terrestrial radio and his influence diminished.'"
My dislike of him grows daily. Hopefully this is the last we will hear of him for a long time. Unless he wins any more awards...
but I don't know if it will be the game of the decade. GTA IV, another awesome game, got similarly positive reviews, but no one says it is the best game ever anymore. Different people will have different opinions of the game, and who knows what will happen after launch. Many people(me not included) got tired of GTA IV shortly after release. Could this be true for this game as well. Probably not, based on the history of the franchise, but we won't know until release.
I plan o...
it's not really a surprise that the 360 controller is the best on their list. The 360 console was their number one console of all time. It's their opinion, as how a good a console/controller is is largely based on personal preference.
As for me, I'm good at adjusting to whatever controller is put in front of me, so I can't really decide which one is the best. I prefer a controller with rumble, though. Motion sensor is cool, but not really a big deal for me right now. Once ...
I was worried by some of the Assassin's Creed reviews, but after playing the game I love it! Hopefully NG2 will be the same...
the demo is only out in Europe, South America, and Asia, not USA or Canada. I'm not sure about Mexico, tho...
I'll go check to see if it's available here. Maybe by some miracle it is.
I just commented on a review of the game and now there is already another one up. This is GTA all over again. We don't need to see every single NG2 review from every site...
It's very hard to make a decision on this game based on review scores. Some are great and others are bad, unlike GTA reviews, which were all very positive. Hopefully the demo will come out soon for the US, so I can make a final decision.
I'm sure I'll love the game as long as it stays true to the original, which I think is amazing. The story and graphics are great, and the depth of the menus and quests makes the game playable many times over. I expect nothing less from BioWare...
Someone like him getting an award along with people who went through actual hardship to succeed and survive shows how flawed the system is. The article makes him sound like a martyr, apparently taking all the flak from us gamers to "protect" others from video game induced violence. Because of course video games are the main cause of violence, not poor parental guidance or mental instability...
Oops, meant to post this in Gamer Zone. Stupid default. I've gotta chang...
Most likely I'll give it a rent or "borrow" my friend's copy to see how much I enjoy it, now that the demo's been delayed indefinitely for the U.S.
Worst case scenario, I won't like it and save my money for the Battlefield game that comes out later this month. Those games have steep learning curves as well, but I'm better at that kind of game...
Anyway, thanks for the advice, Acidicpack. I'll take it into consideration before blindly buying the game.
2. He is for save points, just not ones that make no sense or are poorly placed.
3. This is a personal preference, I guess. On my PC, I can only install a few games before I run out of room. Maybe it's because my computer sucks. If it were more of a problem, there would probably more complaining than from this pro-360 site.
5. He means that he doesn't like unlockable characters in multiplayer games, where whoever has unlocked the better stuff has an advantage. I'...
but the article contained no fanboy elements at all. I understand if you don't trust their reviews, but this article has some good points. Your comment just doesn't fit the article...
Hopefully it was a misinterpretation, but you would think that he would have noticed earlier if the demo was not being released in America and Canada, in addition to the previously mentioned no-demo countries. It really seems like a last minute thing... We'll see what happens, I guess.
and then gave up in disgust. This guy even admits he has never owned the games: "every experience I've had playing Halo was with friends who were better than me only because they owned the game". To me the single player campaigns are always enjoyable, especially on coop with a friend, or three. And no one can say that Halo can't be distinguished from other FPS's. Spartans and warthogs are well known images to most gamers. Hundreds of thousands of people play multiplayer every d...
