Exactly, people who care that one platform has sold more or less then another have some serious problems.
Less PS3's in the world doesn't harm my enjoyment of the PS3.
This times a billion, I was kinda interested when I saw the trailer but hearing more info and how it uses the same MMO tropes that WoW and every other MMO adheres to just kills it for me.
What's the point beyond brand recognition to even put ES in the title?
They could have wanted to do that, but it doesn't matter. THE HARDWARE ISN'T THERE ON THE PS3. Could we quit with the "Dust should be like PS2" it wont, it cant, MAG has framerate issues already ><
@ KenAdamsNSA
What makes a game "Notable"? I didn't think Heavy Rain was special, and after Resistance 1 I thought Resistance 2 was kinda bad (Haven't gotten around to Resistance 3 yet). SOCOM 4 was terrible, it was notably bad.
@Baodeus
I don't think Rare developed Okami (In fact, I know they didn't!) and I'm also fairly certain Okami wasn't on the 360 (again...it wasn't). Also listing Clive Barkers Jeri...
When MS has already said that they aren't talking about their new console at E3 this year, I'm not particularly worried.
The same could have been said at the end of the original Xbox's life. It was pretty sparse, especially in its Twilight years.
Especially when if you look back at the launch of the 360 very few big "Xbox only" franchises made a return at launch. PGR3 and Amped being the only two I can think off the top of my head, PD:Z wasn't returning from the Xbox and neither was: Condemned, Kameo, Quake, CoD2 (Not Big Red One) Ride Racer, etc.
You don'...
Ehhh, the PS3 isn't going to handle the player numbers + Map size + level of detail present in Planetside 2.
If Dust 514 plays okay and gives compelling reasons to want to continue playing, then that's more then enough on its own to pass as a persistent world FPS on a console.
Well duh, review scores mean everything when discussing a "Competitive" FPS' online gameplay. /s
Ken was quoted as saying they had an opportunity to add something "Extraordinary". Extraordinary doesn't sound like "We shoe horned MP in there!".
There is also always the option of avoiding the MP, it's what I did with Bioshock 2 and I'm pretty certain it didn't harm the SP portion any worse than the game itself.
Bioshock 2 was developed by different people.
From the article
"The four new Face Off maps, available exclusively in Face Off mode"
4 maps only available in the 1v1/2v2 mode. Great /s
Considering it's now confirmed for the PSN, XBLA and PC. No...I don't think Sony asked them to do anything.
Jeff Gerstmann got to go to Treyarch to take a look at what they had been doing, surprisingly all they showed was SP. Branching stories AND a more open ended approach to level design could really improve this CoD over MW3.
Plus you go to the 80's....maybe explain why Woods is still alive in this trailer.
It was an okay console FPS at a time when that idea was laughable. I like Goldeneye as much as the next guy but seriously...it wasn't that great and every game since has been garbage. Not really Activisions fault that no one can throw together something decent.
Activision once thought similarly about Tony Hawks Pro Skater and Guitar Hero. Shooters do have a considerable amount of staying power as a genre compared to those two but, inevitably CoD's day will come.
IF GR went back to how GR1 played it would be an improvement.
You're a cold hearted person if you don't like that show.
Bubbles good sir, bubbles.
@Relientk77
There is no real issue with DLC as ujean69 pointed out we've had DLC for awhile, just in a different form. The problem with DLC is how it's approached. Do you use it to bring legitimately game expanding content? Or do you use it to nickel and dime players while doling out small upgrades for $1-$2 that should be unlockable.
I think the most abhorrent DLC, even worse then on disk DLC. Is the micro transaction piecemeal player improvements. A...
Everything is supposed to work natively with the Classic Controller Pro.
Only one tablet controller. The Wii U has more then one control input.
I adored Mass Effect, I got Mass Effect on launch day in 07 and I ended up buying the PC version in 08. I bought the collectors edition of ME2 on launch day, and a month later picked up the PC collectors edition.
But, I voted with my wallet with ME3 like I am so prone to harp on these pages. Yet when I look around, it seems like only a very few followed the advice.
