Yeah, the one made entirely of sprites definitely looks better. The characters in Diablo 2 looked like shit, at the very least I can zoom in on a MODEL (Yeah a actual model, not a sprite) in D3 and be able to identify what the hell it is. D2 doesn't have more detail, D2 for as old as it is looks like crap in comparison.
I still can get into a game of Reach fairly quickly, BTB, Obj, Firefight etc.
No, the "Players online" looks really sad if you remember H2 or launch night for H3. But its all irrelevant when I can still get into a game in less then 10 seconds.

A) The large world had a purpose to it.
B) Any part of it beyond the combat was remotely interesting.

Animations, physics and particle effects were WAYYY beyond what we've seen on the PS3. They were target renders, get over it.

Yeah, I definitely can see all that. I can see how this looks a fair bit slower then DMC3-4, I just feel that beyond the much slower gameplay and the 30FPS (totally justified complaints) are kinda weak.

Perfect scores are bogus, but you're right. Its a Blizzard game, it will be polished further and it will be supported until no one plays it anymore.
Everyone seems to forget that Blizzard still patches SC1, D2 and WC3 from time to time and they are all still available to play online.

Steam may be a all digital service, but at the very least if my internet went out for an extended period of time I always have offline mode and can at least PLAY my games.

Those complaints against MGS4 are kinda reasonable. The between act cut scenes or even the ones that just popped up were way to long.
On the topic of Uncharted, its not that it has to many or that they are to long. Its that some of it feels really unnecessary.
