While i am a hardcore PC gamer, been so since 1995. I dont game on console, niether do i think i ever will.
I do feel Intel themselves are to blame for many PCs being incapable of playing games. Many prebuilt rigs feature high end Intel CPUs yet come equipped with crappy intel integrated graphics. Giving less tech aware people the idea that even 1000usd pcs cannot play games.
Qualcom need not worry about making consoles obselete.
8800GTX already did that back in 2006.

Lol its sad people actually pay for DLC skins, that sort of stuff is free on the PC for the most part.
I bought about 6 games on Steam this summer for 100usd most of them were 2-3months old. Doing that on console would have cost me around 300usd.
So yea console gaming is expensive largely due to lack of competition.
Depends on the games you were playing 10 years back.
I was playing CS 10 years back i still enjoy it today. I was playing Warcraft 3 10 years back i still think its the best RTS out there today.

Well some people might want to make the PC download stuff while they are Playing on the PS3.
I personally dont own a PS3, but my brother who does says the download on the PS3 freezes if a game is played at the same time. I could be wrong though.
Yep we are almost through the gen Sony still doesnt feel its about time to unleash all of the PS3s power.

They need to tell the console gamers it will be the same, however when games come out there certainly will be a difference.
However by looking at recent history i wont be pre ordering the game until i see its worth the money, if it really just is a console port i have money other games to spend my $$ on.
Dont forget unfortunately its the casuals that are the masses. These days even hardcore games get dumbed down just to cater to a wider audience. Call it developer greed.
Casuals dont really care about buttons or having analog sticks, they just want to game for those odd 15mins then again get back to what they were doing.
Smartphones will definetly be owned by alot mroe people then the Vita or 3DS. If a good bunch of people buy gmaes on those platforms you can...
PC gamers get games alot cheaper too. Personally buy most of my games during steam discounts, Most new games cost about 10-15usd, its a luxury console gamers dont have.
Console gamers most of the time have to pay premium prices for their games, you barely see console games below 40usd even after being out for months. Hence i do agree this is abit harsh on them.
Never had a problem modding steam games. So far have modded:
Witcher, Stalker, tombraider. No problem at all.

Lol you must be the kind of person who buys a I7 cpu then equips it with a non gaming GPU, later need to upgrade the GPU over and over because you keep repeating the same mistake.
This summer sale alone i bought about 6 games of steam for about 100usd, all them were about 2-3 months old and AAA games. Doing that on console would have cost me 300usd minimum. Goes without saying PC gaming can be very economic, cheaper then any console anyways.

Word my 11 year old brother plays on PC, Graduated from consoles last year. All he does is slide settings to max and plays. I mean if a 11 year old can handle it, it cant be that hard right?
I bought him a 5870 back when they launched which is about 2009, still runs about every game maxed out no tinkering needed.
Wii exclusives run better on the PC so you can cross that out ;-) lol
But console gaming is Dead. Look at the Wii its the only real console this gen.
Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 are low end locked down PCs.
