If it's anything like the DualShock 4. All the features of it will fizzle out. They were used a TON at launch and somewhat used in the Sony produced games. Admit it, the touchpad is nothing more that another button now. And barely any games use the gyroscope anymore. Infamous Second Son had the spray paint feature. That was cool. Xbox players only like MP games? Luckily the Xbox has both FPS/MP games and Single player story games. ALL the Sony exclusives are single player games. While I enjoy playing them... I never go back and play them again. Well, I do play The Show quite a bit. But that's the exception. There's replayability with that one. Honestly, I typically Redbox the exclusive games that are only story. Unless they are massive. Like Horizon Zero dawn.

Except their backwards compatibly still has a few questions to be answered. They made a pretty spotty announcement on that particular front. Something like, 100 of the top rated games will work on PS5. But nothing about offering free upgrades to said game. Just that it'll work.
Sony isn't focused on those games. They have studio's that are directly working on them. Same goes for the hardware department. Not sure what their hold up is. But it's not that!

Nope. Not the case. They would have used a PC or the Series X. This was Sony's tech demo. Which is fine. They do it with every console launch. But this demo was showcasing the improvements the the engine. That's it. It wasn't saying " look here. This is what is only possible on the PS5 ". They only mentioned Sony because they were paid to. Nothing more. Just look how many games Sony paid to advertise PS on the commercials!!! That's their thing.

It's run better on the XSX. Sony always shows a tech demo for a new console launch. Plus, what games do they have in the pipeline that could be shown to showcase the PS5. Sony paid Epic to make a demo. Simple as that.
Sony has ALWAYS launched a console with a tech demo. At this point... What else are they going to show. They have shown all the games that are going to be available through the next 12 months. They don't have games ready to showcase the PS5 yet.

Sony has always shown a tech demo at the launch of a new console. Microsoft could have shown the same exact demo, but instead showed games. I do agree that the quality of the games they showed weren't anything to be too excited about... But they were REAL games. Unreal 5 will be used on every console. Just imagine what it would look like on the console with more capable hardware specs. 😳

Purchase both. Buy the PS5 for it's exclusives.
Purchase the Xbox Series X for the exclusives and 3rd party games (since it's more powerful). No one online is going to care which one you buy. I sure don't.
While I don't see Microsoft doing it... But they could buy those rights without blinking. They have a decent sized wallet.
Imagine is Microsoft used this technology to build world's in an RPG. Maybe a Fable like game or an Assassin Creed open world.
Or when there is a trillion dollar company, that could buy you up 40x over again, has tech you need. You say, "help".
