Fanboy's don't really think outside the box (their brand loyalty). If you think Sony is going to leave the 100 million PS4 install base in the dust... You'd be wrong. And if they do just cut them off and just relay on backwards compatibility, that would be a shitty move. My PS4 just crapped out about a year ago, so I just purchased a new one. So it would suck if I won't get any of the new exclusives come holiday 2020

Buddy, Developers get Dev-kits that are much more power than the consumer products. They always build high and scale down to the proper hardware. The fact that Microsoft is being pro-consumer and not leaving out the Xbox One series of consoles is good for people that have recently invested in their hardware. iPhone does the same thing. And this " no exclusive" statement is just letting people know that the exclusive games that are coming this year and next will cater to them as well...

It's has nothing to do with the companies"needing" it. It's a good OPTION for the consumer to have. You can always purchase the game that you " tried before you buy" with a discount. I see nothing but options with Gamepass.

Your picture looks very familiar. Oh yeah, it's the same font as last generation. They should have put that in a press conference. Oh yeah, they did. Their innovation continues to blow me away

Then Xbox should be your opinion. My aunt just bought my cousin and Xbox X and it came with 3 months of Xbox Gamepass. So he got a console with over 200 games. That's saving in anyone's eyes.

You have to remember that every game you buy the Xbox has is through the Microsoft store. Therefore it might as well be called Xbox series PC

Nah, I'm not a PC gamer. I have a gaming PC... But I'd rather use a console if possible.

Anybody disagreeing with you has to be a Sony Fanboy. Because what you said makes absolutely perfect sense

PC and Xbox is the same ecosystem. At least when it comes to the games they produce. Just like their marketing slogan goes. Play anywhere. Hell, I play their games on my phone. Microsoft is flexing pretty hard this time around. They even have Sony asking them to use their infrastructure

What's unhealthy is pretending that one device will give you all the best choices you can have. If you don't mind being limited... Then just pick one and go on. That's not me or any of my friends and colleagues. In fact everyone I know purchases every console. Because we all have one thing in common, we like gaming

Because people THC CELL want Microsoft to fail and they don't want to acknowledge their innovations. Sure, Don mattrick put the Xbox One in an impossible position right of the gate. So Phil Spencer has done one hell of a job getting the ship turned around. Unfortunately but was a little too late in this generation to close the gap. But the pieces are in place for a substantially better launch and platform/services this coming generation.

N4G is the garbage can of gaming news and comments. So much division between gamers. It's ridiculous... It's videogames people. A fun hobby that we can all enjoy. Who cares what games or consoles you choose as long as YOU enjoy it.

That's not true. Most reports show the Series X is about 40% more powerful than the PS5. Still... Both next Gen consoles will be a BIG step forward from this current generation.

Unless you're a stock holder in any one of the companies. I wouldn't worry about it. Nothing is exclusive to the consumers. There isn't technically a "war". It's just a matter of choices. And I prefer to have as many choices as possible when it comes to gaming as one of my many hobbies. Brand loyalty is the chains that hold those back from said choices.

A blip? That's all I've heard about since the VGA's. Microsoft had an audience I'm over 40 million people watching the award show. More than an E3 conference. I think it was a good move.

I hope so. Sony remastered a lot of games this generation ( on the PS4 ) and charged for them.

2343d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Exactly. Why would anyone care who sells more pieces of plastic? I always buy both. I guess that's just the "gamer" in me.
I'm not an investor... So as they long they entertain me the way they have over the many generations.. I'm good to go. Both will be day one purchases for me

It blows my mind why people, like yourself, get off on speaking negatively about a company that works and creates products for the hobby we all enjoy. Sure, we're all entitled to one's opinion. So I wouldn't think it's childish behavior if you had just said, " I prefer PlayStation because..." But to act as if you're special, because a product that ANYONE has the ability to own, happened to produce more " exclusive games " this generation. Looks quite ba...

Even the exclusives I play on my Pro, doesn't make my Pro as the primary console at the house. My whole family ( wife, kids, and myself ) play FAR MORE Xbox X. So many games on it. I own 406 total titles on the X. That doesn't include the Gamepass titles.
I have 31 on my PS4 Pro.
So I assume us using the most powerful piece of hardware and it having more games is the only reasons it's played more.
I love both consoles.

If it isn't broke. Don't fix it. The Xbox and PS4 controller are already great in my opinion.
