RT isn't on Sony's radar like it is for MS. They have a complete board and chip/GPU for it. Hopefully we get some good sound and possibly shadows with it on the PS5. But it's gonna take a chunk of the fps for the price of admission.
I truly don't think Sony is too concerned making games that look for realistic then they already are. To a degree, sure. But I think in there mind graphics are at the point to where they're already food enough to immerse you in the co...
These predictions are completely useless. It's like Antifa trying to pour gas on the BLM flame. Whoever enjoys gaming as a hobby, should use every outlet gaming has to offer. Both PS5 & XSX are day one purchases for me. It also appears it'll be the same scenario as the current gen. My Pro for games that are only available on that machine. And XOX for the games only available on that machine and 3rd party.
With Sony and Microsoft both using Azure... I have a fee...
I hope there is a black version. My entire entertainment center is black. Guess I could put a sticker on it.
You need to go look up the specs. You'll see everything but the SSD being much better on the Xbox series X
Sony's SSD solution is kind of like their cell chip. It might be good, but it makes third-party developers work extra to try to make good use of it. It's going to be skipped over
It doesn't need to be pushed on to people. Not everyone agrees with the movement and the way they protest. I know the meaning they are trying to project... But it's not working.
Doubtful. It seems Sony has plans for BC but not free upgrades to the game. Definitely not first party games. Microsoft has made it very easy for developers to make a scalable game with hardware that's similar to this generations Xbox one. I'm pretty sure 3rd party studios would have to make two versions of the game to play on the PS4 and PS5. It's a very non customer friendly approach but it'll make them more money.

That's simply not true. The only thing Sony has been complemented on was making the SSD as fast as it is "in house". It transfers data quick, but then comes the limits. In the GPU and the bandwidth of the RAM.
Ram speed, SSD speed, CPU threads/cores, and bandwidth will be what gets the appropriate data to the GPU and CPU. XSX has an advanced AI learning system to compress data and unpack data at an incredible rate. All in all... The XSX has the most advanced piece of tech. It's all about the games though. All of the advantages it has over the PS5 won't mean a thing if they don't produce bangers like PS4 did this gen.
PS5 won't be rubbish. It's a very capable machine. Is the XSX better? Yes! But why does it matter. Everyone should own both.
@stuna1
A demo is/was Sony's idea. Not Microsoft. The specs alone set the XSX ahead of the PS5. I'll do the same exact thing I did with this generation. Purchase both consoles. Use the least capable for any exclusive games that interests me and the more powerful console for everything else.
You mean the demo that ran better (more stable) on a gaming laptop than it did on the PS5 😳 Yikes!!!
Technically, that unreal 5 demo ran better on a gaming laptop than it did on the PS5. 😳
And following Sony's game announcement (singular) Redbox stock will jump.
They didn't show us anything but a tech demo. Even doing so, it was a poor showing at that. It wasn't able to run a steady 20-30fps at a dynamic resolution that peaked at 1440p.
Epic even stated that the same demo ran better on a gaming laptop. Even though that gaming laptop had an Nvidia card in it. But still... A laptop out performed the PS5. I think Mark Cerny put his chips into the wrong pile this gen.
You can talk about an SSD all you want. They can't produce anything but storage. A better cpu and GPU with a higher bandwidth wins EVERY TIME.
That's a bit longer than I expected. I'm guessing a balls to the wall campaign would take that long. So, a Redbox rental should be around $40ish bucks.
Hell yeah!!! Knock it out and saved me $20.
This isn't politics. Any one can both consoles. And everyone I know does. To say fans, is implying that there are a majority of people that would refuse to purchase a certain console no matter what the price is. An that isn't true. If the "fanboys" could afford both... They would. And in doing so, they wouldn't have to have this fake battle that doesn't gain them anything for participating in.
That would mean they (Sony) would have to make a simple player that's NOT an Redbox rental. Well... Not counting Horizon Zero Dawn and MLB the Show.
That's incorrect. Microsoft has Xcloud and Gamepass. That makes an all digital version of a console far more appealing than just ditching a disc drive.
