@asweplay
Something might be wrong with your XSX then. Maybe a certain setting is on/off that allows for quick resume or something. I don't know. But every game I've used quick resume with works flawlessly. Besides one game... Gears of War 5. Every other one is good to go.
What kind of website/journalism is this? Very major videogame media outlet has nothing but praise for this feature. I'm confused.
Now that's a clever idea. I'm guessing they patched this option in after seeing the side by side comparison videos of the Series X and PS5 booting up games. Watchdog Legion, valhalla, Dirt 5, Devil May Cry, and Yakuza all loaded faster on the Series X
@ AnotherGamer
There are comparisons with Dirt 5, Valhalla, NBA 2k, Devil May Cry, and Watchdog Legion all loaded faster on the XSX
All of those games I listened have been optimized and are using all the tools available with both next gen hardware.
I think this will be addressed in the future. It's just not feasible to have to download all of that extra data just to turn around and delete certain files. People with data capes are doomed. I believe Xbox uses Machine Learning and AI baked into the SOC and DX12 to compress and decompress files in a very efficient way. Hence the quicker load times on the XSX. IGN and Gamespot have done side by side comparisons to the loading speed on both consoles. As of right now, XSX is faster then th...
Wait... What? What am I missing? I know about Spider-Man and Godfall. And obviously the 3rd party games. What are the games do you guys think back up this article? I'm not Trolling... I truly want to know. Launch day is quickly approaching. I would like to know my options.
Thanks in advance.
Microsoft has machine learning for AI compression and decompression built in. That's why you're seeing games running faster (SSD) than the PS5. It requires less space as well.
@nomadR3aper
Valhalla and Dirt 5 are both designed with the SSD in the X and PS5 in mind. The X was faster on both. Less than 10 second difference tho.
Valhalla and Dirt 5 loaded faster on ther XSX. Assassin's Creed was around 9 second difference. Dirt was 5 seconds faster.
They are both FAR better than this gen. It's really not a big deal in my opinion. Higher frames, fidelity, and features are what I care about the most. I'm buying both day one. It's kinda odd Sony spent so much effort to make the SSD what it is, it decided not to out more time and money into the other components. Such as CPU, GPU, and system memo...
Just like the 360
@ Darkwatchman
You're correct. DMC is using hardware based Ray-tracing. Also, the GW5 XSX footage using global illumination looks incredible. And it's a cheap way to better the scene.
I'm guessing it's native 4k 60fps w/ ray tracing on the XSX then.
If Sony were to do a Game Pass like model for PS Now, it would change my stance on the PS5. The Sony exclusives I love are incredible games, but I only play them once. If they gave them to use day one in a subscription service...I'm all in.
This is the current gen game running on XSX. So it's a backwards compatible demonstration.
They said the PS5 SSD is just under 40% faster. If that is true, than Madden will load in about the half the time.
Give it year in publishers hands and all of you Fanboys will see with your own eyes that the XSX is more capable of creating the best versions of the games developers are working on. Every developer that's been interviewed has said openly that the XSX is the King of the Mountain. They've also added that scaling the resolution down from 4k to 1440p is accomplished with very little effort and will NOT hold back next generation fidelity of game. If you're convinced that it will hold ...
Pipe dreams? EVERYONE in the video game industry, on the creator side, agree that the Xbox Series X is a superior next generation console. While Microsoft is introducing advanced capabilities on a hardware level. Sony is trying to emulate the actual effect. Having RDNA 2 is big on its own. Then factor in the knowledge that Microsoft has one of the best AI software available. Put the better hardware, better AI (machine learning), and Azure cloud capabilities... It's a no brainier on who ho...
In the world of scalable technology, that wouldn't do anything. You can make it work on switch if you want.
God damn you people with brand loyalty are dumb as hell. I don't understand why someone would be so blind and retarded that they think it's cool to only purchase one console just to turn around and defend it like your life depends on it.
I seriously... No one cares what you bought. Because anyone can do it 🤣
