Nintendo's E3 presence and the general praise it got probably helped too. :P
People just didn't like his vision and can't understand that people make mistakes. Iwata is righting his earlier wrongs with Wii U after having three consecutive hardware successes to boot. I'll never understand the hate towards the guy. I give him the same respect I gave to Tretton and give to Yoshida.
The complaints mostly stemmed from those ports being unspectacular from what I heard. They ran underneath the quality of their 360 versions, but they definitely were not bad.
The internet provides a LOT more fan feedback than a room full of people.
The community has been alright to me thus far, but I agree that the bubble system hurts some people unfairly. You contribute honest critiques. NewMonday just recites the same salty comment over and over and it's quite annoying. I appreciate the compliment though. I really hope you get a fifth bubble again. You're more deserving of extra bubbles.
Yes, clever twist on him. :P
That's definitely ambitious. And since they finally opted to make a better looking engine, the game has my attention.
I approve of the giant Bowser fist. :D
@NewMonday Do you ever tire of trying to convince people that your opinion is factual?
That's how Wii U accounts work too! If you're too young, they put friend codes on you and to use Miiverse, they have to pay $.01 or something really small, basically making it harder for kids to get online without the parents.
From the article, “I don’t think the current system we have with friend codes is perfect. However, if it’s an online world where you can get access to anybody without any restrictions, I as a father do not feel like allowing my daughter be engaged in that kind of world.”
Stuff like this is why I respect Iwata, even if I disagree with him. They didn't input friend codes out of stupidity, but to safeguard kids. Thing is while I understand it, I disagree with Nintendo trying...
@NewMonday I'm confused... what does that quote have to do with the one in this post? Isn't this kind of off-topic?
Hmm, nice deals here but the recent Steam sale killed my wallet for the next couple of weeks...
It's a long race and anything can happen, but right now I agree that PS4 has a commanding lead and probably won't lose it for a while, if ever.
^Agreed completely. The first is people being jerks. The second is the developers being incompetent.
I feel ya. Ever play Kid Icarus Uprising? Those controls are weird as heck, but that game is still super fun. :P
Makes you wonder if it was from fan outcry or just them trying genuinely to improve upon the benefits for the eShop. Either way, great news! :D
Friend codes only apply to you if you're age thirteen or under. Everyone else gets an account username. :)
I believe so. Or vice versa whenever they finish working on Wii U to 3DS.
All that's missing is a Zero Suit outfit. ;D
