"Why do you make games?"
"I needed a way to sponsor my expensive hobby of collecting disposable lighters."
Haha, at least he's honest! XD
I did that a lot when I was younger, but nowadays I like playing as a girl because the fantasy is more fun than the reality.
I'm not saying it's sexist but rather that their reasoning for it is fairly moot. Being a boy or girl does not affect your ability to play a game, so I don't see what reason there could possibly be to separate the two genders in eSports.
While that demonstration is promising, I'm just saying I want to see it in action.
"Why should people play Escape Goat 2?"
"You'll enjoy your time with it."
Haha, I like the level of confidence being conveyed. Nice Q&A. :)
The more the goats the merrier lol. Good luck everybody!
I think Sony is just riding the gravy train the PS4 is providing. Can't really blame them for following the money maker. But more Vita support would have been much appreciated, not less.
I'm pretty sure physical sports separate genders because of different body builds and biologically different features between men and women that creates unfair advantages and disadvantages. Gaming is more about mental prowess, reflexes and skill and last time I checked gender doesn't really affect that in any significant way.
^This. Vita doesn't have many exclusives and it's priced a lot higher than its competition. It's saving grace is Japan where handhelds are thriving.
Dualshock, the first one that had analogue sticks. Nothing beats the memories I have with that controller. :)
Actually I agree with you there. Framerates are more important to me than resolutions and neither is as significant as just making the game look appealing and play well.
Good point. I won't pretend to know anything about the plot, so I can't say if Arno could interchangeably be female for sure. On the other hand the same can't be said for Saints Row which doesn't change its dialogue all that much regardless of what gender you pick. At best, people would get their preference, which of course won't change the gameplay very much at all. I guess you could say I'm somewhere between being neutral and being for the inclusion of a playable fem...
I'd like to stop reading articles about it and see it in action if so.
This article makes some silly points and some unnecessarily loose jabs at Ubisoft that don't strengthen them very much. I too prefer playing as women, but it's because I have a preference for female protagonists. That's not to say female main characters automatically take precedence over male ones. The character has to be likable or interesting. But since I'm more drawn to women characters, I tend to pick playing as a woman if given the option. It's a preference that needs...
What about the Assassin's Creed multiplayer in previous games? I'm pretty sure those had female avatars with their own animation and everything. I personally don't mind that they don't have female characters and will probably play Unity if given enough incentive, but Ubisoft's explanation was pretty bad. Not because they're sexist, but either because they are cheap or because their of way of doing things is just ludicrously more costly than other devs.
...
Not entirely true. There was an article on N4G that showed what were supposedly PC screenshots that had lowered the settings to be closer to what the Wii U is expected to be, and it still didn't look too bad. I'm going to reserve judgement until I see how "bad" the Wii U version looks.
Amiibo's are their own exclusive functionality. They don't affect the core aspect of Smash Bros. whatsoever, and they are confirmed to not be allowed in public online games, only local and online with friends.
Didn't the developers say that this game would not be gimped on Wii U or am I remembering that incorrectly?
Dang man, that's awfully negative. Isn't it good to see Zelda go back to its roots? It's not pandering to whiners, it's giving love to long time friends of the series since game one.
At least you've got realistic boat licking action. :P
