RE4 was a true innovation of its time. Everything, from the controls to the writing was some of the best in the series. Unfortunately nowadays RE4 gets a bad rap because of its sequels abusing the same control style and crapping all over the horror elements that were still in the game.
Don't suppose that demo offers any online features? Or is it strictly single player/local multiplayer?

Yeah I remember members of Kojima's team basically came out and had to apologize for not being able to make the game. It was really something. As for Platinum, not only do they make high quality games, but they seem to be able to make them fairly quickly.
I bought New Leaf and do play it once in a while. I neglect my town a lot though because of my backlog though. Right now I'm blazing through Spyro on my PS3 (took advantage of the recent flash sale). Since there's no real objective I take things pretty slowly in my game.
In New Leaf, you have the ability as mayor to remove people you don't like. The layout of the town is based on a grid. You can use a shovel to get rid of the rocks. Just thought I'd throw that out there for you so you know in future.
The problem is breaking away from said tropes can lead to it not being horror at all. Resident Evil, for example.
