@eye The Ambassador program proves most of your comment wrong.
@deafdani Thing is 3DS CAN run N64 games. I should know because two remakes with better graphics are on the 3DS and I own both. With the right emulation, it could run regular 64 games just fine. Heck, there is a port of Tales of the Abyss, a PS2 game. :P
Well that would be one heck of a deus ex machina.
"Nintendo 3DS is powerful as Gamecube, almost but not as Wii if they wanted to emulate Open GL 2.0 effects..."
You sure? I'm pretty sure Miyamoto once said they had Mario Galaxy running on 3DS, but they couldn't do more with it because Mario was too tiny on the screen.
Yes, yes absolutely! I'm looking forward to the Achievement Hunter videos that will emerge from this. So glad Sony is actively pursuing letting people record freely.
In this day and age, hardware features could be just as important. Let's Playing is a pretty big thing in the community nowadays. I'm actually perplexed as to why Sony made put the HDMI restriction on the console in the first place, but the great thing is they're working on getting rid of it.
I like to keep footage when I play together with friends, but that's mostly with older consoles. I have yet to get a recorder for HD consoles and I would want one of those for my PS4.
Unfortunately this is the game industry we have. Good things come to those who wait lol.
The only downside is it's very intimidating to get into the parts and the actual process of building a PC. I'm fine with my PC, I would rather play my new games on my consoles while I play some of my older games on Steam. PCs can definitely run games at high settings, but you need to know what you're doing and have the money to spend.
This is a GOTY edition with better graphics. It comes with ALL of the released DLC AND improves the visuals significantly. That is a lot less bad than releasing an hour long game for half the price of a full experience.
Best reason to own this is if you have yet to play it. I'm still waiting for Sony to talk about the supposed discount for PS3 TLOU owners. :)
I'm surprised this got so much heat since this footage has already used to make a comparison. I'd prefer to see both games in motion running side by side for a proper comparison.
Xbox One is indeed weaker than PS4, but not by a significant enough margin where the two are not sharing a bunch of multiplats. Batman, Destiny, Evolve, Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts III, Star Wars Battlefront and a bunch of other games are running on both consoles. And so far the only differences are the resolution and/or frame rate. So let's not pretend that the Xbox One is so weak it can't even marginally keep up with PS4. PS4's hardware is outstanding right out of the box, ...
^You deserve a bubble. 'Nuff said. Anyway, my buddy and I are probably going to rock coop on his Xbox One when this comes out. We played through the old trilogy on 360 and we just recently got into Judgement. I expect this new one to be quite a visual stunner.
We may get a logo with a title, kind of like Uncharted 4 last year. Maybe even a short CGI teaser trailer.
@TheDevKit Optimization is always a great thing. Since many people feel strongly about the resolutions and frames per second in their games, it seems only logical that Microsoft would try to market way to make games run at optimal settings through DX12. The next step is to actually show it in action.
It's nice to see the franchise still some developer interest but either way I agree, I would prefer a 3D PoP over a 2D one.
That game was actually quite nice. I prefer the Sands of Time trilogy to a degree, but the reboot was stylish and fun. The control improvements were very much welcome in my back. As for the disagrees, it's probably people who just did not enjoy the game. I didn't think it was a masterpiece, but it was still pretty good. Nolan North was a fun Prince.
A 3D open world would just feel like another Assassin's Creed, wouldn't it? This makes me miss the Sands of Time trilogy. Sigh.
Didn't Wii Sports Club come out like a month or two ago? Anyway, they definitely are stingy with demos and it's because they feel most people won't need them to appeal. First party Sony and Microsoft games typically run the same boat. Those are the games people want on those consoles, so why waste resources on a demo? At least that's what I think they're thinking.
Or they're just not ready. Seriously, how many more times can Rockstar launch things with GTA Online and have them behave in a screwy manner? Don't they playtest anything over there?
