Playgrounds Fable reboot is likely going to be that game. I'm guessing it will have the charm of Fable but probably more realistic looking. The Last of Us is a phenomenal game so I disagree.
I do agree MS needs more franchises, but to go along with their already established franchises. New and old is the best option.
Can you get off this single player nonsense already? Xbox has released single player focused games like Ori 2 and Gears Tactics this year. There are single player games in development like Wasteland 3, Psychonauts 2, Tell me why, Hellblade 2, playgrounds RPG, and large RPGs from both Inxile and Obsidian. Btw, nothing MS has released this year has microtractions in it.
I think it would be neat if they were working on a new Killer Instinct.
As a big Titanfall 1 fan, I was disappointed how Titanfall 2 was mishandled. They should have delayed the game until the new year and made it a Jan or Feb release instead. Even though I found the multiplayer not to be as good as the 1st, it was still fun, and the game had an outstanding single player. I would love to see a 3rd game.
Halo 2 has the longest campaign of all the Halo games so I'm not sure how you possibly beat it in 4 hours your first playthrough.
I'm fairly certain the article is only talking about this generation. Regardless, both the ps3 and 360 had cross-play games.
The Vita had other issues besides expensive memory like Idk, Sony didn't properly support it, lack of any compelling software after the launch, the price of the system, mobile gaming was taking off, BC was lacking.

Platinum games wouldn't be a good fit. I would rather see Xbox continue focus on getting 3rd party Japanese games instead. If MS is going to make any other acquisitions, Bloober Team and Asobo would be a much better fit. Going after the European market would be more beneficial to the Xbox division.

It's been so heavily rumored The Initiatives new game is Perfect Dark, there is no real reason to think otherwise. I have no problem with it, especially if they change it up and make it into a 3rd person action adventure. It would almost feel like a brand new IP at that point.
Why was it bad tho? I never played it so I'm curious. The gameplay I saw looked fun and much more appealing than fortnite and some other popular games I've tried.

You asked for a list of great games and I gave it to you. Regardless of how you feel about Gears and Halo, they are still great games and successful. Halo 5 and Gears 5 are at the top of my list games I've put the most amount of time in. Not hard. In no particular order.
Halo 5, Gears 5, Ori 2, Forza Horizon 4, SSOD, Killer Instinct, Sea of Thieves, D4, Titanfall, Forza 7. Honorable mentions; MCC, Gears 4, Halo Wars 2, State of Decay 2, Dead Rising 3, Quantum Break. Xbox one is definitely lack compared to Original xbox and 360, but finding 10 xbox one[console] exclusives worth playing isn't hard.
At my local target, I haven't seen any consoles available.

I don't see any problem with doing limited edition consoles this late in the console cycle. They are made for enthusiasts.
