If they fix the content issue of the game, it can be something great, but for now it seems to just not have enough to do and enough variation.

Crackdown 3 isn't cancelled. They made a big push with it during their 1st party Game Pass announcement. They are giving State of Decay 2 time to get some hype like they did with Sea of Thieves.
I feel like they will have at least one new IP to show off.
I would recommend checking out, based on just console exclusives, Sunset Overdrive, Halo 5, Forza Horizon 3, Killer Instinct, Recore(underrated), Master chief collection(big update coming soon), Ori and the Blind Forest, Cuphead, Halo Wars 2, and Rare Replay. A lot of these games are on Xbox Game Pass, so maybe giving that a whirl.

It's honestly amazing reading someone's comments about a game they say are not interested in or is trash, but still put in the time to click on the article and write a post up. It has to be a disorder of some sort.
Sure, GTS has had more support post-launch but Forza 7 had an overwhelming amount of content at launch compared to GTS. The number of cars in Forza to GTS is still heavily in Forza's favor and likely will not change.
What a crap article. His main points are "Rare's glory games" argument, which is irrelevant, and MS "tendency to destroy players expectations." Not one point he has is actually about the game.
The game isn't a competitive multiplayer game. It's an action-adventure game. It's not suppose to be like Overwatch. Saying there is no content is a straight up lie.

You linked an article talking about the beta, not what's in the final game. Maybe you should do some actually research for what's going to be in at launch and post-launch.
They confirmed they were not working on Alan Wake 2 during P7 development. After P7, the project beginning this year, it could be anything. Alan Wake 2 is a possibility.
I'm not saying a support microtransactions as a whole because I don't. There are certain types I'm okay with like the ones in Sea of Thieves. There are others I will never support like Battlefront 2. At the end of the day I have never paid 1 penny for loot boxs or microtransactions because I actually have self control with my purchases.
If a developers can release a game like GTS with constant updates and content, free of microtransactions, more power to them. ...
P7 is multiplat. The new project is up in the air. Could be Alan Wake 2.
What about games that get continued support after release with free content? How should the developers be supported? That is why this is the best way of doing it. The game continues to receive free content updates and offers optional cosmetic microtransactions that don't effect gameplay. No loot boxes either.
Remember when games released and there was no support after? I certainly do.
