You do know playing a game is not the same as watching someone playing a game? Games aren't movies. You won't ever get the full picture of a game until you actually put the controller in your hands. That is literally all Phil is saying.
Did anyone actually listen to the podcast or at least read the article? He is simply saying, watching a video of games running doesn't show the whole pictures. Almost anytime I watch gameplay of something running at 4k 60fps or higher, it never is representation of how the game actually looks because the video is compressed, I'm watching it in 1080p at 30fps or whatever. Did I say anything about the ps2? no, I was referring to the ps3. I enjoyed the ps3 as a system. I still have mine and play it, but Sony went into the 7th gen with some slight arrogance. Sony got humbled 7th gen and learned from their mistakes to take Xbox and Nintendo more seriously.

It does suck it took this long. I think Xbox division knew what they needed to do, but didn't get the support from MS. Notice once Phil became, Executive Vice President of Gaming at Microsoft, that was right when the Xbox division started turning everything around with their 1st party.

You and your friends truly are the exception because it took me about 9-10 hours my first play through. Also, if you look up the average play time for Halo 2 it's 8-9 1/2 hours. If you speed run it takes about 4 1/2 which seems silly to do especially someones first play through. Did you play Halo 3 or any other Halo games after that because Halo 2 has one of the longer story modes. Of course they nerfed the Halo 1 pistol lol. I loved that gun too, but it was OP af. All the games I mentioned are single player focused so you're already wrong. I guess once these games release, they won't release any other single player games. Phil forced these independent studios to be acquired and is now funding their passion projects and other projects they would otherwise need crowdfunding for or some other publisher to help fund. @darkborn what is your point about Hellblade? I don't need a history lesson. All the titles are being funded by MS including wasteland 3 and Psychonauts 2 which will allow them to be more polished and better overall games. Sorry, not every game is going to fit into your box of a AAA game.
