That's the beauty of scalability. PC's have been doing this for years. One version will run the game at 1080p while the other is 4k. If someone has a 1080p TV there is really no point in getting a 4k console because you won't notice the difference. Just get the cheaper version with the lower res.

It hasn't been officially confirmed, but too many reliable sources have said it's coming. Then on top of the name, Xbox Series, more SKU are planned. It was rumored to be shown this month, but MS pushed it back to August.
Probably due to the fact they dont want to show any more hardware before they show games, which I think is a smart idea on there part.
No doubt in my mind this game is excellent.
I feel like MS has been pretty vocal about wanting to providing options for gamers and being as accessible as possible. Having 2 SKU's aligns with those beliefs, a premium and mid-tier option, and so does Project Xcloud.

That's why I'm not saying XSX is going to win or loss. So far, Sony hasn't done anything to mess up, but neither has MS. If these gamers went from ps2, 360, and then ps4, they probably don't care about brands. They just buy whatever system suites them best. If Xbox seems to offer the best value, and has games they want to play, they will probably go that direction.
I've been paying attention. It's not hard to see why each console performs as it does. I also have seen how things can change in an instant, regardless of where the previous console iteration was positioned the generation before.
You're right, there are a lot of factors that go into it. Like the fact Xbox one and WiiU were colossal missteps for both companies and basically handed Sony the generation on a silver platter. Each new generation of consoles is a refresh. Look how Nintendo went from WiiU to the Switch. Switch is currently the most popular console out right now. XSX is looking to be a vast improvement over the X1 in every way. XSX is more powerful than the ps5, and if they can match the price, that's ...
I think you underestimate how fickle gamers are. Gamers jump ship all the time to whatever console suites their needs best. We saw this with ps2 to 360, 360 to ps4. The average gamer isn't as dedicated to a console brand as you see on n4g and other gaming sites. With that said, I'm not saying XSX is going to win or whatever, but I see the race being a lot closer than it was this generation.
Not surprising people were more interested in the ps5 event than any previous Xbox event. This was Sony's main event and the actual proper reveal of the ps5 console and games. Xbox has been giving a steady stream of content since the VGA. Next months is Xbox main event so maybe wait for that comparison.

I got into the game a couple weeks ago and I've been hooked on it since. It's so different from anything else I've played. Ever since it released on steam, the player count has continued to climb. Right now, it's at 59k concurrent players and it doesn't look to be slowing down.

This developer must be rolling in it. Maybe if people stopped funding the game and buying worthless items, the developer would be forced to finally finish it. But because they are still getting money from kickstarters, microtractions, etc., they are taking their sweet time.
