That's why I've actually come to really appreciate the Switch's UI. In the beginning I hated how barebones it was but now I actually appreciate it's simplicity.
Anyone else notice how great those reflections are in the store windows when Miles delivers the cat back to the store owner!
I think my favorite new feature is cross-game chatting with someone and being able to watch their gameplay via picture-in-picture while you play your game.
LOL well played!
In all honesty, I HATE the term "game-changer" and I think it's one of the most overused terms in video gaming. I'm not sure if the term really applies here either but I do like what we've been shown so far regarding the UI.
I got the error code. I just unplugged my Pro, re plugged it in and powered it back up. It finished updating, no problem. No other issues have come up as far as I can tell.
Looks utterly fantastic!
No I'm pretty sure Sony has actual PS3 blades at their server farms.
I know it may not mean anything but I noticed that the latest story trailer only runs at 1080p. I'm wondering why there's no 4K option? I'm assuming the trailer is captured from the PS5 version of the game. Is 1080p/60 really what that game is going to run?
Ju are probably right! (Sorry, I had to LOL)
The real litmus test IMO will be Bloodborne. It never got a PS4 Pro patch and it runs like ass, even on PS4 Pro. If it runs exactly the same on PS5 then we know that BC on PS5 isn't being treated the same as it is XSX. In fact, It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Sony is planning to release a remastered PS5 edition of Bloodborne, similar to Spiderman.
"Select PS4 titles will see increased loading speeds on the PS5 console"
Excuse me? Why wouldn't ALL PS4 games that are installed on the SSD benefit from faster load speeds?? Surely that is a mistranslation! There's no way a game installed on the SSD will load at the same rate as it does on the slower PS4 HDD. By default you're going to get faster loading times by sheer nature of the hardware.
I dont have to. I HAVE an OLED! :-)
So nothing that matters! Great news! My entire library will come over with me!
Man, people are really breaking out the electron microscopes to find "issues" with anything PS5-related. LOL!
Wow, really? THAT'S your takeaway from the video? 🙄
A few thoughts...
1.) I like the fact that the base actually screws into the console when standing vertical. I was concerned that the footprint of the base was too small for the size of the console but having it actually screw in gives it more reinforcement.
2.) The two "vacuum holes" to vacuum dust out of the console is a nice touch! That should make cleaning/maintenance of the console fairly easy.
3.) Overall access to everything seems ...

And Sony is DESTROYING MS when it comes to it's next gen launch/launch window lineup. People can talk all they want about BC, cross-gen saves, services, apps, consumer-friendly policies, etc. Let me tell you what I see when I look at these two upcoming next gen consoles...
PS5 exclusive launch day/launch window titles...
Demon's Souls
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart
Spider Man Miles Morales (and PS4)
Astro's Playroom...
That's exactly why I didn't buy this on current gen. I had no doubt there was going to be a next gen version. There may very well be a free upgrade path for current gen owners but I wasn't going to take that chance. I'll gladly wait for a PS5 version.
I've purposely been saving this game to play on PS5! I cannot wait to dive into this in (hopefully) 4K/60fps glory!
Not surprised. They're better at producing hardware than they are games.
