"It just begs the question, why not do this before reviews and launch?"
Because we'd probably be waiting until this time next year for the game if they did. Don't get me wrong, I could've waited. I'm already waiting until the PS5 upgrade patch is released. However I don't know if CDPR could've afforded to wait that long.
@AnnaDea
Games should be reviewed on the merit of the status they are in at the time they are played. Not on the merit of what they could potentially be in the future. Days Gone was a buggy mess at launch and it got reviewed as such. It's a vastly better game now but do I think it should've gotten better scores at the time it launched? Nope! The game was what it was at that time. These 10/10 scores are ridiculous. Bravo to PC Gamer for giving an honest review...

"When you have your very own video game awards show then you can dictate who can be presenters & ban Hollywood from being presenters."
LMAO! Wow! Thank you for so condescendingly pointing that out to me as I TOTALLY thought I had the right and the power to make actual decisions regarding the Game Awards. Dude, we're just having a conversation. I personally do not feel that the gaming industry needs to tether itself to Hollywood...
Nailed it.
Why not? For the same reason why the Academy Awards do not have Shigeru Miamoto or Neal Druckman as Oscar presenters. Its not their field! The gaming industry has its own "celebrities" to draw on. It doesnt need Hollywood starlets to create interest.
You and I rarely see eye to eye but on this we are in complete agreement! The videogame industry is a multi-BILLION dollar industry. Total revenue generated from videogames on a yearly basis surpasses revenue generated by Hollywood. Yet somehow our industry STILL thinks it has to attach itself to Hollywood for mainstream validation. We don't need them! Its Hollywood that is slowly becoming less relevant! I even cringed when we learned that Keanu Reeves was attached to Cyberpunk 20...

This article is so full of nonsense, I don't even know where to begin!
1. Exclusives provide incentive to purchase a console to begin with.
2. Exclusives typically are the best games because developers only have to focus on one platform and can program their games closer to the "metal" of the hardware which results in the best looking, best performing games available.
3. Exclusives help to create brand identity. They are ...
I love how you call out "corporate slaves" yet have a username liken "XboxSeriesBest." Oh the irony.
BS. The Switch has been boring ever since the release of Luigis Mansion 3 in 2019. Since then all we've gotten are a bunch of ports of old games and a glorified mobile game in AC. I haven't picked up my switch in ages. I've had more fun with my PS5 the last 2 weeks than I have with my Switch in months!
Thank you for taking the bait. Lmao!!
I wouldn't call that a glitch. Id call that justice.
@P_Bomb
IMO, Lost Legacy is just a tighter, more cohesive experience. I also think the environments were more breath-taking and were overall more interesting to explore. Plus I really enjoyed the dynamic between Chloe and Nadine more than between Nathan and Sam. I thought introducing Sam as a long lost brother to Nathan this late in the series was a mistake and it reminded me of when TV shows would introduced new characters out of nowhere late in the show's run to pr...
@phoenixwing
Yeah but do you honestly believe Sony is done with optimizing THEIR dev tools? Its silly to think XSX dev tools will only improve while PS5's will remain stagnant.
Personally I believe the biggest bottleneck for XSX development is the fact that games have to be made to run on XSX, XSS, and PC whereas on PS5 they only have to be developed for one configuration. Im not sure if any amount of optimization changes this.
@OB1 is right. Its a similar comparison to DMC 5 where both consoles sort of trade blows with one another in different modes.
I think the real take away here is BOTH consoles are more than capable and regardless of which camp you're in, you should be happy with you're system's performance.
And I enjoyed Lost Legacy more than Thiefs End.
It will. Despite the mixed reviews, the game did very well commercially. Im certain it will get a sequel, unless Bend decides to do another IP.
I know about it but I couldn't care less. I dont get caught up in this kind of uber nerdy tech jargon. I have a 4K TV. I have a PS5 plugged into it with the HDMI cable it came with. The games look and play awesome on it. Thats really all I care about. The games pass the eyeball test and that's all that matters to me.
Well being a big Hollywood star I can understand how your time would be limited. Im looking forward to Christmas Chronicles 2 btw! Say hi to Goldie for me!

Incorrect! Going gold does not mean the game is finished. Going gold means that all of the data that is going onto the actual disc is done. However that doesn't mean the game itself if finished.
