I've been very lucky I guess. I have experienced no issues whatsoever. I have mine sitting vertically, outside of my entertainment cabinet. Mine has been whisper quiet, I've had no crashes, no glitches, and no issues with any of my games. I've platinumed Astrobot, I'm on my way to platinuming Bugsnax, and I've also played a bunch of God of War, Days Gone, No Man's Sky, and Fortnite.
What amazes me are the disagrees. Apparently people LIKE paying extra for what should've been included to begin with LOL.
I will never buy another Street Fighter again after V. The fact that Capcom put staple characters like Sagat, Blanka, and E-Honda behind a paywall really soured me on the franchise. Absolutely ridiculous that established characters such as those became DLC.
I wouldn't know. I haven't had a reason to turn mine on since launch. PS5 on the other hand is getting a hell of a workout!

Relax! Sony will patch the issues as soon as possible. Its all part and parcel of being a day one adopter. There are ALWAYS kinks to be ironed out.

Consoles aren't "pushing" VRR. Only a very loud, vocal minority of internet fanboys are. The vast...VAST majority of console gamers don't know or even care what the hell VRR is. I can understand that. GOT is definitely the surprise game of the year. I think everyone kind of assumed that The Last of Us Part 2 would run away with it but I don't know. GOT is pretty amazing and with the addition of Legends, it kind of puts it over the top. If factions had been ready at launch for TLoU 2, I might feel differently.
