No it didn't. The base of the PS5 is plenty wide enough to stand vertically and be stable.
I don't know, is it? Do we have an actual component cost breakdown of the PS5 Pro? Because until we do, anyone defending or criticizing the price is clueless.
Do you want a powerful console or a cheaper console? Because you can't have both! You have to pick your "poison" so to speak and the great news is you CAN. I'd love to know what all you keyboard experts think a reasonable price should be for what's going to be the most powerful console on the market.
Don't waste your breath. The usual cast of simpletons are out in full force today. No matter how much sense you make, you're still casting pearls before swine.
Ubisoft is like a bakery that churns out a lot of cakes that are pretty to look at, but taste very bland. When it comes to games, their entire design philosophy is quantity over quality. All of their games have a mass produced "assembly line" feel to them. I have not purchased an Ubisoft game since Rayman Legends on PS4.
@SPEAKxTHExTRUTH
Who said anything about the Edge? I was not talking about the Edge. The STANDARD Dualsense, yes I absolutely get between 6-8 hours on one charge! And No, I'm not lying about the new model. You'll see tomorrow at Sony's tech discussion. The 5 extra dollars is for the newer sku with the longer battery life.
Chill out.
1. If you're only getting 2 hours from one charge, you have a bad battery. I regularly get 6-8 hours from one charge.
2. This price increase is for a new model that has a more powerful battery. They're launching it with the PS5 Pro.
3. You can still get the current model at the old price and as I posted earlier, the silver one is actually discounted.
Christ some of you are SO ready to burn Sony...
Meanwhile...

Agreed. Likewise with Twisted Metal. That game could work very as a live service game. Just follow the Rocket League format and it could be great!
Not all "live service" are bad. They just need to be well thought out and make sense.
I don't believe you at all. The law of averages alone say there's at least SOMETHING on that list you'd be interested in playing a new iteration of. I think you're just being hyperbolic to make a point.
More "yellow journalism" from the gaming media. How sad has that industry become!
I don't expect ALL of those. I'm just pointing out that they already have a ton of existing IP to choose from that are known quantities. I'd rather see them resurrect some of those before choosing to add more to the list.
Sony has a blue billion IP's that have been in friggin "cryosleep" for years! I'd rather see them revisit some of those before adding new ones...
Killzone
Resistance
Socom
Syphon Filter
Dark Cloud
Bloodborne
Motorstorm
Mod Nation Racers
Wipeout
Warhawk
Legend of Dragoon
Jack And Daxter
Sly Cooper
Infamous
Twisted Metal

Or you COULD have come on here and just said "hey, nice job Team Asobi"!
@BlackTart187
Here's a perfect example of what you're talking about. Here's a quote from the Kotaku review...
"I cried at the end of Astrobot".
Lmao!!! It's a frickin' platformer starring a robot!! How f_cking emotionally fragile do you have to be to cry at the end of that?? I think the reviewer is full of shit, but even if they're not...just wow! These people!
Exactly! I want to ask the writer, "who hurt you?" to have such a glass half empty attitude!
What feature has PS5 not delivered that it promised? I'll give you "8K" but we all knew that was bullshit from the beginning.
@3ParPutter
What changed is consoles last gen switching from exotic architecture to x86 architecture, making porting to PC much simpler and more economically feasible. Porting would have been much more difficult in generations past on PS2 and PS3 with the Emotion Engine and Cell architecture. Plus, I don't how old you are, but PC getting console ports isnt unprecedented by a long shot! if you were gaming in the PS1 generation, you would know that several iconic PS1...
@lelo2play
So you're a former Xbox gamer/turned PC gamer because you realized Xbox is trash, but you still hate Sony. Got it!
And incidentally, Sony doesn't ruin anything for anybody. You're melodrama is hilarious!
@Vitalogy
My bad! I misunderstood. I thought he was saying the PS5 needed the stand, not that it came with it.
