It's not bad, I just don't think it does enough to separate itself from the pack, therefore doesn't do a good enough job justifying it's existence. I would've much preferred a more traditional single player FPS with a strong narrative and a multiplayer mode added onto it.
Neither is Switch a home console IMO. It was a powerful hand-held for it's time. But just because you could project it to your TV via a dock, doesn't make it a console IMO.
Guys, it's over. Xbox as a dedicated hardware platform is done. You have to stop thinking about it in those terms. The console war is over. Xbox (or Microsft Gaming, as I think it will eventually become) is now a software and services provider. And yes, they will be the biggest publisher in gaming and make a shit load of money putting their games everywhere. A change in leadership is not going to suddenly bring back the 360 glory days. That ship has long sailed! It's best if e...
Lol despite the nostalgic resurgence in vinyl, it's still a very niche market compared to its glory days of the 70's and 80's and pales in comparison to digital downloads and streaming. Yes you will ALWAYS find a niche group within any format of entertainment. There are still people who collect laserdiscs and 8-track tapes too. However the reality is the physical games media market is shrinking year over year with no sign of slowing down. Sony is...
Blame consumers, not Sony. Sony is simply responding to the market. The reality is the vast majority of consumers want this and buying trends reflect it. It's never good to hear of people losing their jobs but what is Sony supposed to do? Continue to full throatedly support a division for a market that is continuously shrinking, just to make an ever shrinking niche of consumers happy? As a business that would be irresponsible and dumb.
Most of the people bitching online about that didn't even live in those regions and it didnt apply to them. So what, PC gamers are suddenly activists now? So someone in Jerkoffistan can't create a PSN account. There are worse tragedies.
Because a lot of PC gamers now are former disgruntled Xbox fans who blame Sony for all their problems. Just like a lot of Xbox gamers were former Sega fans back in the day who also blame Sony for Sega's downfall.
Myiamoto won't live forever and at some point he will retire. He's going to have to hand it over to somebody eventually. He probably already has an understudy that he's grooming to take his place.
They're not going to put someone in that position with radically different ideals. The "culture" of Nintendo is as a company and a brand is as iron-clad as any you will find. I guarantee you, no matter who fills Miyamoto's position, they will hold the same philosophies as he does when it comes to game development.

@VIK2121
"wait, it's not?!"
No, the Switch Lite does not come with a dock, nor does it work in the Switch dock. It's strictly handheld.

Perfect? Nah. Too underpowered, even at launch, to be considered perfect.
I still consider it a handheld, not a console. It was never really a console IMO. Especially the Switch Lite, which is undockable.
I knew I didn't need Xbox long before MS started advertising it.
Its Digital Foundry. Ignore.

Trash opinion. You play it yet? If not then STFU until you have.

Lol Neyland Stadium is top 5 easily!
I like the digital model without the weird protruding disk drive. Standing vertically it looks cool. Horizontally it looks clumsy and weird.
Well you certainly can't call it a success can you?
