No, they're petty and vindictive.
Are you strictly speaking first party, because I can think of quite a few new 2nd and 3rd party new IP.
Also, when comparing to last gen, how many new IP did we have from Sony's first party at this same point in the PS4 generation? I can think of Drive Club and...maybe Horizon?
Pragmata is the game you're talking about. This is the second generation in a row where a new Capcom game was shown at a PlayStation console showcase that became vaporware (Deep Down was the other one, shown at PS4's debut showcase).
@CS7 "Awful" is pure hyperbole imo. Awful to me is reserved for the Atari Jaguar or the Virtual Boy or the Wii U. It certainly can be argued that PS5 so far is the worst of the 5 PlayStation generations. But Considering how great the other 4 generations were, being the "worst" is still a hell of a lot better than a lot of other console generations.
Am I the only one who just goes into my game and looks completely past all that shit? I barely notice any of it.
I wouldn't classify PS5 as "awful". Ive enjoyed my PS5 quite a bit, but it's definitely not as good as the PS4 generation so far.
"The Last Ubisoft game I bought was Rayman".
Same! I havent bought an Ubisoft game since Rayman Legends on PS4. Their games are very generic, very "assembly line" made to me.
There were other factors involved that hurt Nintendo back then that had nothing to do with power. I've said it for years but, if Nintendo would have chosen CD-ROM as a format for N64 instead of cartridge, PlayStation is probably not in the same position today. Going with cartridge cost them Final Fantasy 7 and many other JRPG's that generation because of the restrictive storage size, which cost them Japan that generation.
Then Nintendo went and did the same thing a...
I always said for the handheld market, the minimum goal should always be to reach the pinnacle of LAST gen performance. In this case that would be PS4 Pro/Xbox One X. It looks like Nintendo has pretty much achieved that with Switch 2, which is perfectly acceptable to me.
Next level comment! Lol!
@Michiel1989
My comment wasn't meant to be critical, just stating a fact. Nintendo no longer has any interest in developing consoles that can't be sold at a profit from day one. I have no problem with the path they've taken.
The truth is, its about money. Nintendo does not want to spend the R&D to develop a cutting edge console that they can't sell at a profit day one.
Awww, is somebody feeling special today??
Im actually very relieved that Sucker Punch decided to make this series an anthology of stand alone stories, rather than a direct sequel! I think Jin Sakai's story wrapped up beautifully and trying to extend that any further would only diminish what they created. I wish ND had taken this approach with The Last of Us.
A PS5 port! (snicker).
I love Killzone, but I would prefer a complete reboot of the franchise, using the newest version of the Decima engine, rather than simply a remaster of part 2.
The fate of Concord was set in motion long before HH took over as CEO. He has barely had time to warm up his seat, let alone make any effective change. He very well may turn out to be a terrible CEO, but I'm not going to judge him on this one game.
If anything, it could be argued that HH is why Sony pivoted so quickly on Concord and refunded everyone. If Jim Ryan was still in charge, how long would this have lingered? Who knows but clearly Sony did the right thing ...
I dont disagree. Still getting the Pro though! ;)
I understand Nintendo going after emulators because I personally cannot stand piracy either and have zero sympathy for assholes who steal intellectual property. That I get. What I dont get is why they are so averse to FREE advertising/promotion when it comes to people streaming their content on YouTube. No one has EVER been able to make it make sense to me. Its such an antiquated, draconian policy! Especially when you consider that literally no other publisher in the gaming industry has...
