I took your advice and checked all the games Aaron has reviewed and I didn't see anything that screamed bias.
While I have no doubt I will enjoy R&C more then the 7.5 he gave. After reading the review again I still don't see any sort of unprofessional behavior by the reviewer. Just another gamer that probably didn't enjoy R&C as much as other reviewers.
All I can say is that he is entitled to his opinion. Reviewers are people and people have different opinions.
Will make a great game to play this upcoming weekend and will get me in the mood for Halloween
Is it me or does it sound weird when Nintendo references "creativity and innovation". When they keep using their own characters over and over again and reusing the same plot over and over again (ie Zelda)
While I am looking forward to playing Mario Galaxy this winter, there really isn't much else coming from Nintendo that looks all that creative.
I'm a big fan of Clive Barker work (more of his writing then his movies) and I honesty don't really care if a character is gay or not.
In most games a characters sexuality is unimportant. Only in more storyline based videos games I could see the point of even bring up a characters sexuality.
The only issue I have with gay characters is when they are used as shock value and have no important baring on the storyline itself.
Interesting opinion... with it's limited outlook on the history of console gaming.
Fanboys make a big deal about loyalty but only when it comes to their console. If Capcom was big on loyalty they would still be developing everything on a Nintendo system.
"I honestly dont know one single person who is a 360/former Xbox owner that would have purchased the system had it not been for the Halo Franchise."
Well I would be one of them. While I enjoy Halo franchise it wasn't the reason for my support of both the xbox/xbox360. My support of the xbox brand has to do with it's friendly approach to PC developers. Which allows me to enjoy more western developed games on my couch instead in front of my desk.
I always...
I'm a Core gamer and it appears my wife is a Social gamer.
Great news... Mass Effect will be the perfect game for me to play on my break.
It's a Canadian news site that has been around for more then 8 years and owned by a medium sized media group.
"strong storyline" sealed the deal for me... picking it up as soon as I can
Overall an interesting read...
It's nice to see a more interactive dialog approach, instead of being able to see a list on how you can interact with a character then being able to choose every option listed.
EDIT: For the people that who won't actually read the article. Seth Green is talking about how the dialog is like "Choose Your Own Adventure" not the entire game.
"very strong storyline" part of the review sealed the deal... day one purchase for me
nothing open-minded about it... yes the controls were hit or miss with alot of people. I personally liked the controls it was the overall gameplay that was the real fault with lair.
wow next week is going to be terrible on my wallet (thankfully I picked up a few freelance projects).
Next Week's Buy List
-X360-
Jericho
Ace Combat
Conan
-PS3-
Ratchet and Clank
Not Surprising the Ratchet series has always received high praise from reviewers.
Wow that box cover brought back memories, the weird thing is that I've never even played the game. Just remembering see ads for the game.
The trailer just left me with one question... we will be able to kill Hitler again?
Don't be sorry I don't care about either format.
I just found it amusing that there is already a story on how Transformers has failed to gain momentum when it has been only out for a day.
Wow another FPS to add to my must-have list. Multiplayer sounds espically with time-control ability.
