Just as I thought basically Bungie went from being a MS 1st party to a MS 2nd party. Overall a good move it will help keep the key-members of Bungie happy and continuing to working together.
Again Sony did the same thing with David Jaffe. Allowing the developer more freedom when it comes to choosing projects yet still having the developer console exclusive.
Yes Killzone 1 wasn't the greatest FPS but it wasn't all that bad either, it was just average. Too little has been seen with Killzone 2 to make that any sort of judgment call on it's gameplay.
I agree with this review.... I didn't mind Lair's controls what really got to me was the gameplay flaws
different game preferences = different review scores
I'm still amused that people think there is some great Microsoft conspiracy going on that is making PS3 review scores lower then they should
interesting comment of course it has nothing to do with Halo 3 or the Halo 3 review
Doesn't surprise I was thought that any Bungie breakup would end up being the same deal that David Jaffe did with Sony.
Why hiphopgamer is entitled to his view. I disagree since I had so much more fun with Halo3 then I did with RFOM.
The only part that I find bias is that he is treating his opinion as Fact and not his own opinion.
interesting video.. hit home more for me since I am from the Toronto area. Thankfully I am not an idiot when it comes to computers and often times fix my own computer problems.
I disagree... owning all three consoles. I don't feel that one console's games are being unfairly judged over another.
I also think erratic reviews are a good thing. People have different game preferences so why not have reviewers with their own preferences. I do think people focus too much on the games final score and don't actually read/watch the review.
I wouldn't be too quick to judge TheMART.
After viewing a few of your more recent posts you made you and TheMART arn't that very different. Different consoles of choice but both show blind fanboyism.
I agree... what makes a game AAA is personal preference. It's only fanboys that take pleasure in set in stone definitions of what makes a game AAA or D.
wow I was expecting worse... given the fact that the SOF3 is going to be released in November and this is the first time anyone has seen gameplay.
I just purchased PGR4 last night and I'll can say is wow. Great visuals, the weather effects really have better impact on racing. While it doesn't reinvent the genre, a great solid game.
The soundtrack is out of the world, instead of a generic alt-rock soundtrack there are a few songs from artists I actually like (Mind.In.A.Box, Edge of Dawn).
Is Halo3 the best game ever? I doubt it but it all comes to personal preference.
So far Halo3 is the second best FPS this year, only trailing Bioshock.
wow what a crappy / generic soundtrack
Lair was one of the worst games I have played this year, the only game that came close on how much I hated Lair was "Hour of Victory".
Visually the game is nice and controls are decent... just everything else was garbage. The game was hard and unforgiving, now I don't mind hard games (ie Ninja Gaiden) as long it's intentional and not due to poor planning or gameplay.
interesting that the delay in releasing UT3 on the PS3 is causing alot of other UE3 titles to be pushed back as well. Might as well delay and wait for Epic to update the PS3 version of the unreal engine
Actually I prefer the target-renders over the video footage. The video footage just looks too shiny and too bump-mapped when compared to the more softer target-renders.
@krackchap : that's nothing new, it happens every time there is a positive or negative [insert console name here] story
I am going to pick 32 bit era with my systems of choice being PS1 and PC.
With advancements in graphics and storage space. Story based gaming became more and more popular (ie MGS, Planescape Torment, Wing Commander 3)
