Interesting, I'm all for another Sci-Fi RPG, though I am cautious about getting excited about the game.

The reason Mass Effect was such an amazing experience was due to Bioware. It it will be interesting to see if this new developer is up to the task.

Good review, not really surprising since most Ratchet & Clank games score above the 85% mark.

Good point, as I hate it when game developers try to lengthen the story by adding unnecessary levels.

Personally I didn't mind the length of Modern Warfare. Though I was playing it on a high difficulty and died a lot.

Awful, awful game... I gave it a rent a few months back and dialog and english translation were indeed cringeworthy. What made the game unplayable for me, was the linear nature of the maps.

What's the point of having strategy game where you control two teams when they just have to follow the same path.

If it is the end of the series, it had a really good run. I can see Insomnia wanting to the give the series a rest and trying something different.

High praise indeed, though I'm not sure I agree (though I haven't played Uncharted 2 yet).

For me playing Half-Life was a revolutionary game, since I played when it launched back in 1998. It took FPS to another level with it's level design, storyline and scripted sequences (which wasn't used in a FPS before that point). Now not everyone will have such high-praise for Half-Life, espically if they played it a few years later. When more and more FPS started using scripted sequences...

Nope and to my knowledge only the german version of the game has been released.

@chak : that's news to me, wasn't aware that the game was released in other languages yet.

With both Divinity II and Mass Effect 2 both due out in January. 2010 is going to start off with a bang.

It's a decent list, though it looks like the author of the article has a different taste in RPGs than me.

I would have added both Tales of Vesperia and Sacred 2, somewhere on the list.

Does anyone know of another source for this information? As the article seems a tad bias in this matter.

I'm hoping Bethesda keeps the rights to the Fallout universe as they outsourced the next game to Obsidian.

Makes sense, I think most console makers would do the same.

If there is a sequel hopefully it's for both the X360 and PS3. Though it wouldn't surprise me if the sequel was for a portable system as that seems to be a trend with Japanese developers.

This has GOTY written all over it. ;)

Alan Wake, Bioshock 2, Fallout: Vegas, Halo Reach and probably many more that I can't remember and that are unannounced.

Like Resistance 3 which I am guessing should be out in 2010 as Insomniac hasn't gone one year without releasing a game this gen.

Wow, two Bioware titles within 3 months of each other.

It's looking like January is going to a killer month for people that love western RPGS. With Divinity 2 coming out at the beginning and Mass Effect 2 at the end. Which kind of mess's up my plan of playing Mass Effect 1 at least one more time before Mass Effect 2.

I'm not sure what the box art looked like before, but I am digging the new box art.

This game is definitly getting mixed reviews, I'll definitly have to give this game a rent, though I'm not really sure when I will have the time. Espically with 'Dragon Age' and 'Divinity 2' still due out this year.

Tim Schafer has never let me down yet.

Good idea, over the years I've rented many games that were critically panned and I ended up loving the game.
