I feel the same way about JRPGs, after playing games like Balder's Gate and Planescape Torment my love affair with JRPGs ended.
I still like playing them every once in awhile. Though not with the same excitement that I used to back in SNES days.
so much hate, I think people's delusions are acting up again
pretty lame argument
I think FFXIII will be disappointing for some, while others will love it. Personally I wasn't planning on purchasing FFXIII before the first price drop or next gaming dry spell.
I do admit that removing towns from the game, just sounds lazy.
They should just print the EU cover on the back of US cover. That way people can choose their cover, Red Alert 3 did the same thing.
Good review, I look forward to continuing the story. Only downside is there will probably be another 2 year wait for the next/final chapter in the saga.
That would be impressive if it was followed by them selling 700,000 copies of this game. Though from what I've heard the game is selling pretty badly. Mostly due to all the negative reviews and general lack of interest.
Hopefully but I doubt it as Obsidian have proven in the past that they aren't the best developer when it comes to graphics, but they are one of the top developers when it comes to storyline.
Which is probably why I'm more looking forward to Fallout : New Vegas then I did with Fallout 3.
Divinity II: Ego Draconis and Darksiders for me.
Bayonetta is going to be a rental for me. As I don't feel the need to add it to my game catalog. As I will most likely only play it once.
The only change I would make would replace Half-Life2 with the original Half-Life.
I was just surprised that he was still alive at the end of MGS4. I disliked his character so I was tad disappointed.
With the exception of Metal Geat Rising. Most of the titles on the list are no-brainers. Heck 3 of the titles haven't even been announced yet.
Normally I don't ignore people in till they say something completely stupid or one-sided but with your nick I'll make an exception.
Thanks nycredude I didn't know that. I'll check PSN tomorrow as I'm in Canada. It will make a nice change of pace for me, as I'm just finishing up Dragon Age and getting ready to start Divinity 2 or Darksiders sometime next week.
I only disagree with two games on the list, Lair and Too Human. As both games tend to be either love it or hate it affairs.
I would replace the both titles with : Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness and GoldenEye: Rogue Agent. As both titles were well hyped before they were released and both failed miserably
I have to break away from the norm and say that the original Xbox was my console of the decade. Thanks to titles like KOTOR and Morrorwind.
I'm waiting on the public beta as well. I'm willing to give the game a try, but it really doesn't interest me. As I'm not a fan of online gaming.
Subjective topic, so there really can't be a right or wrong answer. I guess it comes down to what type of games you want to play. Both systems offer good single player game experiences and I for one want to play God of War 3 and Alan Wake next year.
wow someone is definitly addicted, while I'm not a fan of Demon's Souls. I think every gamer at one point in his/her life finds that one game that they can't stop playing.
To me it sounds more like Squaresoft decided to cut some content to make sure the game was released in Japan last year.
Either way I am sure the content will probably be released as DLC or a Gold/GOTY version that will be released a year or so later.
