no he doesn't, he wants a hotrod
Not surprising since there hasn't been that many high-quality Japanese releases this year (that I remember).
Demon Souls was definitly a high-quality release, but I honesty agree that Dragon Age should have won the award. Heck for me its my GOTY.
Good to hear, shame it didn't win GOTY. Though it doesn't really matter as it's my GOTY.
Shooting enemies in a dark deserted alley/town/complex to be more precise.
EDIT :
The Killzone back story is decent, the generic dialog and mission structure ruin it.
As for the art-style I don't see anything unique about it other than the high-quality nature of the graphics.
I don't agree with Killzone 2 being one of the most innovative shooters ever. Maybe if you replaced "Ever" with "this gene", I would agree based on the cover system.
Other than the cover system and controls, Killzone 2 felt very generic due to it's storyline, characters and even weapons. While the graphics looked amazing, I still had that familiar "i've done this before" vibe while playing through the majority of the game.
It's not bad, not really all that unique. Though it's probably a whole lot easier for the writers to update.
Not a bad list overall, I'm sure the order of the list won't sit well with some people. All I can say is, everyone has different preferences and who are you to judge who's opinion is right and who's is wrong.
Heck my favorite game of 2009 isn't even on this list "Dragon Age".
I knew this two years ago, I can't believe some people still think that the Wii can be caught this generation.
In the end who really cares, I stopped caring about console sales a few generations ago.
I haven't even downloaded firmware 3.10 yet, too much work and not enough game time. So the last thing I want to do when I turn on my PS3 is spend a few minutes downloading a firmware and facebook, as I will never use it.
meh I wasn't going to buy it for either system
Aren't most Final Fantasy games 50 to 60 hours long?
Espically when you consider all the bonus/hidden content (ie Ultimate Weapons).
Again what is the big deal with Valve not wanting to develop for the PS3. There are plenty of developers that don't develop for the X360, so I guess they are all lazy or bias as well.
Glad the pirates will miss out on the free DLC. Though I doubt it was anyone at Pandemic that leaked the title.
The majority of games this year, have been leaked out before the official release date. My guess is that the game was leaked out by someone at duplication plant or retail.
01. Mass Effect 2
02. Divinity 2
03. Heavy Rain
04. Dante's Inferno
05. Bioshock 2
I'm completely bias on the subject of RPGS. So for me it's a definitely Mass Effect 2 over Final Fantasy 13.
Final Fantasy 13 may have Mass Effect 2 beat when it comes to game length but when it comes to storyline, dialog and character creation Mass Effect 2 comes out on top.
sure you did... ;)
Personally I wouldn't buy any of these games for my worse enemies. As it would mean an additional sale and move the developer one step closer to green-lighting a sequel.
Not surprising, zombie games are the in-thing. The only way they could have improved sales was to replace the zombies with vampires.
hmm... actually I wouldn't mind that, I would spend hours mowing down the emo-vampires from twilight.
I'm willing to give the developer of "Two Worlds" another chance. Though I'm definitly waiting for reviews this time around.
Hopefully they can fix the performance issues and maybe get the framerate above 15 frames. Also it would be nice if they hired actual voice actors.
If not Two Worlds 2 will be eaten alive next year, thanks to all the other western RPGS due out.
Hmm lots of RROD articles today, must be a slow news day.
Awesome review and here I was fearing the worse, due to the game coming out in early January.
The last time I remember January being a good gaming month was back in 2005 when the first Mercenaries game was released. Now it seems January may be one of my favorite gaming months of the year, thanks to Darksiders, Divinity2 (loved the demo) and Mass Effect 2.
