Well then Just connect it to your tv. I dont see the issue. It is only an issue if you want to utilize the recievers sound output, if you don't care about that, then connecting it directly will give you what you need. Your tv also, likely, has some form og ARC that lets you throughput audio when you want to.
I currently have it like that, because my receiver can't throughput hdr. But the ps4 can only throughput lossy 5.1 so it is a bit of a downgrade in sound.
You clearly don't. Tempest is not a format, your receiver automatically supports it. All it needs is, at the moment, is a stereo output.
Tempest is a dedicated core on the ps5 board. It is not a format. I don't know where you got this misconception.
Atmos implementation or any similarly advanced surround audio solution is determined by a game to game basis. There is nothing stopping developers from implementing their own way to handle similar met...
@challengerscatpack
I think you might have taken something out of my words that I did not say. And it seems you as well have misunderstood what the tempest engine has been engineered and marketed for.
There does not seem to be any clear path to additional revenue stream. The tempest engine has been engineered and marketed as functioning with any stereo set up. Effectively not forcing anyone to spend money on anything. If anything there is a very good argument for t...
There is no "proper" definition on what is a remaster and what is a remake. These are generally not terms that are traditionally created with video games in mind. But I do agree that the comon usage of terms mean thst this would likely be a remake, not a remaster.
They have added New weapon animations, with the same frame sync. They also made the roll omni-directional and they have New options for camera control.
There are some issues with some hdmi 2.1 recievers. So if you have a 2.1 compliant tv it is recommended to connect directly to your tv and use e-arv, but that does indeed limit the potential sound quality. If 2.1 features are irrelevant to you and you have a reciever with support for 4k through put then I dont see why you would not.
The tempest engine is specifically designed for stereo. The have said it might support 5.1 and up set ups later but that the gains on those systems is likely to be less noticeable. Home Cinema systems already have decent support When it comes to positional audio. The potential gains with tempest seems more to do with virtual acustics and it Just makes the most sense with hradphones. Time will tell I guess
A bit strange of a take. The main argument being that the updated visuals takes away something from the original. I mean I am sure some feel that way, but if there ever was one critique the original demon's Souls deserved, it was that its presentation felt dated, even at release. From Software has kept getting better at this, and with bloodborne and dark souls 3, they have clearly shown that the series rather wonky presentation roots has very little to do with the appeal of the series.
@Rachel_Alucard
So you multiplied sales price and subtracted 30% and think you can make claims about income?
This is so far removed from reality. There are so many more costs associated with the sale of any one item. Not to mention the budgetted expendature spent on making the game and marketing.
A game that sells 24 000 copies is nowhere near making 1 million. In almost all cases, including most indie games, that game has lost money, ...
I agree that 5 was not boring, but I prefer rockstar to be less wacky.
At least to me, every game they have made looses a lot of its charm/appeal at some point because the reliance on stereotypical satire becomes too much. And that included gta 4 to me, But i liked that it took itself a bit more serious.
With that being said. Trevor is my favorite wacky character they have made yet.
It had a pretty advanced system for interaction between the Machines. Arguably about on par with rdr 2s wildlife system. It was even more realized at points.
Ghost of Tsushima has its randomly spawned mongol or ronin crews and sometimes with interaction by some predators. Thats about it.
Horizon had much more complex relations between the different Machines and how they interacted.
F. Ex. If you killed a machine, but left it lying aro...
It is amazing to me that People talk about Ghost of Tsushima as a better open world. Ghost of Tsushima, while decent enough in its own right, did nothing to advance concepts of open world exploration. It is Assassin's Creed lite.
It must be cult of the New or something. Even if People did not like the game, horizon is clearly a much more advanced open world design. Even AC origins/odyssey are much more advanced.
I do agree with a lot of People though....
I also played demon's Souls first. There are just many aspects of what made the genre/series great that I think was missing from Demon's Souls. Already at release it had aspects that felt dated. Most important to me is how Dark Souls 1 did a lot more with level design and interconnectivity.
I also love bloodborne the most, but a lot of that has to do with theme and style. Oh and the combat. However bloodborne has arguably the weakest boss design of all the soulsborn...
I believe the engine is built upon the engine they used for shadow of the colossus
Well, you say that, but remember. Demon's Souls does not have estus.
Its hard to tell which soulsborne People will enjoy the most.
I think dark souls 1 is the game that is closest to demon's souls but I also think dark souls was a step up.
Some people really love the original, but generally speaking it seems most People enjoy dark souls more. I honestly would probably consider finishing what you have before picking this up. At the very least Dark Souls 3, which i personally think is the best in the series and on par ...
Me too. Especially as they are releasing all their games on pc now.
Not to start a fan boy war, but making Crimson Skies 2 an xbox exclusive was a really bad idea.
The flight "sim" crowd has always been pc focused and Crimson Skies was a beloved title.
This makes No sense. He quotes data that shows Ps5 to have more traction then claims the trends show series x outselling Ps5 this Christmas...
I am confused.
@SullysCigar
Files are linked to in the article.
It seems like a bit of a biased take.
I. E. It is true that kassandra came of as the more popular version if you followed the media or most online commentators, and not Just for political grand standing, like many would perhaps think. Most arguments for kassandra seemed to be because People enjoyed her voice actor more. Many found alexios more aloof and less emotionally grounded.
However. Despite this. Most People still played the game as alexios. Ubisoft...
