I would say that it is very much up your alley. As a person that holds Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D very close to my heart, Berserk, at least the golden arc, is my favorite.
Probably unpopular opinion these days, but I would recommend watching the original anime first. Although it is dated. To me the Movie-trilogy does not manage to be as connective to you emotionally. The new movies also get critized for using a bit too much CGI, but the action scenes do look better a...
Yep. I am pretty sure that no matter how much bad press Call of Duty is or was getting it still wont make much of a difference when it comes to sales. That franchise has become like Fifa and Madden basically a sure thing.
Exactly. This should be common knowledge by know as it is the biggest hurdle for VR to support "traditional" game genres.
What I am afraid of though is how they are now going to address the gameplay pillar that the towers represented in Watch Dogs. Cause while I agree that towers/viewpoints used as a set way to unlock the map is extremely overplayed and lazy game design it represented an unique part of Watch Dogs gameplay. Namely the puzzle element. Sure they were not great, but figuring out how to get to the console was very different from almost every other mission in the game. And although repetitive and ofte...
While I agree with your sentiment that Windows 10 is far from failing, Vista on the other hand, your arguments are filled with strange logic.
The number 1 reason Windows 10s adoption rate is that high? They forced all Windows 8 users to upgrade through automatic upgrades that would go as far as to do said update without the users agreement. Also it is still Free, at least for all Windows 7 and 8 users, comparing it to any other OS or Update would be unfair.
While I agree with the sentiment that the new Zelda looks marvelous and I am seriously considering buying an NX, or even a Wii U, however I didn't catch the whole of Nintendo's presence at E3. Did they have anything else to show off?
Microsoft themselves have come out with statistics that support this though. They claim that out of all gamers in the US 79% of them own both a pc and a console. This is also a big part of why they have decided to unify their ecosystem with Windows.
Microsoft knows that play anywhere wont increase console sales. They have even been very upfront about it. They are trying to refocus their business into selling software through their storefront and from that standpoint moving...
It could even be argued that State of Decay 2 was announced previously as the original state of decay was a spin off of their originally announced product which was supposed to be a multiplayer game.
This E3 was disapointing, to me at least.
Ubisoft did not have it's, by now common, showstopper ending. Steep looked neat, but nothing that builds hype like Watch Dogs or Ghost Recon did.
EAs Star Wars featurette was a bad compromise for actually showing a new star wars game. Not to mention how the jumping back and forth between L.A and London was terrible.
Bethesda had nothing new to talk about. Dishonored 2 was probably their hig...
I don't think anyone wants Microsoft to leave the console market.
It is a little bit unclear whether there ever will be a "next gen" in the traditional sense. Both Scorpio and Neo are being marketed as higher end versions of the Ps4 and Xbox One. In such as they will both play the same games, these new ones will just supposedly do it better.
It depends. TVs usually have pretty good chip dedicated to upscaling, however this can go both ways. The ps3 f. ex was famously better at upscaling than most tvs on the market. Your real advantage however would come from the blu-ray drive being 4k compatible and being able to watch movie content in real 4k. This goes for Xbox One S as well as Scorpio and Ps4 Neo.
As to the who would upscale question. More than likely the console will automatically override your tv. Well wh...
You cannot assume that 1-2 billion PCs equals 1-2 billion gamers. The majority of PCs produced and sold today is still used for corporate purposes. It is very hard to know exactly the number of gamers playing on PC, but there are certain numbers we can use. F. ex Steam had 125 million registered users at the start of last year. And they currently have an average of concurrent users between 8 and 12 million.
Last I checked GTA V had sold around 3.1 million copies through st...
While I don't disagree that C/net seems like a pretty fair site, they very rarely go into the nitty gritty specifics of hardware.
Even if that number was true, as John_doh clearly pointed out that it wasn't. It still shows a clear misunderstanding of the market. It is making the assumption that the gamers currently only playing games with 720p would be interested in 4k with the trade-off being that none of the games they are playing would be accessible through the new platform. The more likely scenario would be that had those people still been playing games with such a low resolution they would not care about the gr...
@XanderZane Like I said, and Phil has been adamant about this, the reason they are unifying their PC and Console markets, is that they want to make money on Software. This is because there is very little money in hardware in the console business.
What that actually means is not that they want to make money from making software, but rather selling software, you know through their storefronts, because Microsoft will take a cut from everything sold through their storefront. Ju...
Like some already have pointed out. Most of those games were already announced, at a time when they were over 1 year out.
The exception I guess is Dead Rising 4.
MS and Valve have partnered up for something big? When did this happen? Source?
Last time I checked Gabe was threatening to not give WIndows 10 support to Steam. This did of course not happen, but to say Valve and Microsoft have a good relationship would be stretching the truth quite a bit.
What games did Microsoft announce at their press conference?
I have not tried it, and I am not really a sceptic per say, but I still think the current technological level of VR is just a fad.
I really like the idea of VR and I wish I could justify purchasing a set to try out more than a few of the games currently being worked on. However they are still mostly novelty experiences. We have not seen a fully realized game yet, and I rather doubt we will for a very long time.
The issue is that while VR as a general idea...
