Yes, in the broader sense we are to blame. That is not to say we are alone in that blame.
Peter Molyneux and Sean Murray are examples where visionary game designers get thrown under the buss and called liers because they talk about high concepts of their games design during development.
The Witcher 3 and The Division are examples where games are called downgrades despite both being the most detailed and graphically intense games possible at launch. Not o...
None of the supposed lies in that video are consequential to gameplay. And if you had bothered to read the reddit post that the segment in the video is based on you would have realized that most of it is subjective and not objective.
In example. Most of the complaints are about the lack of depth in gameplay systems. Ship classes, factions and trading in particular. I am not disputing that the game is shallow. I am disputing whether one can consider something as subjective ...
And linking a video by overly hyperbolic Angry Joe proves absolutely nothing. The fact that so many think one can use Angry Joe of all people as a reference for truth is absolutely beyond me. He is a youtuber that thinks he has a critical eye, but all he seemingly does is try to get hits out of creating controversies out of hyperbole. I mean this is a pretty simple formula. And it's fair. Sometimes he hits on some good points. But this whole idea that Angry Joe is some kind of authority i...
They are absolutely not. Every proclaimed lie have been documented as falsehoods. Even to the point where it was proven in a court of law. But be that guy. Keep spouting hyperbolic Lies just because it is popular.
He repeatadly tried to clarify that the game was not a multiplayer game. He almost literally said it in every interview he did after the initial reveal.
I have read every claim about the supposed Lies Sean told. And none of them are true.
Like how the game supposedly is not as deep as promised. Totally ignoring that the depth percieved is 100% subjective. Or how people claim it was marketed as a multiplayer game. Yet in every interview Sean did he was consistently explained how the mentioned multiplayer was not the point of the game and that it was a game about solitary exploration.
So I am still waiting ...
What false premise? What lies?
Seems to me you are the one lying about the facts.
Show me one example of how he lied?
And please don't come with the overused multiplayer excuse. He made one side remark about mp at the initial reveal. Spent every interview since then downplaying it. Being super clear about the game not being an actual multiplayer game.
People kept lying to themselves about what the game was supposed to be and when it turned out it was not, despite the information being available to them. They cried foul. Despite th...
@demonicale They lied to you? How so?
And how did they mislead everyone about what the game would be at launch?
The game is probably a lot better now then it was at launch. But it also much further away from what the game was presented as before launch. Most of the allegations of misleading marketing are straight up lies about subjectively percieved elements of the game. Which is also why they won in court when sued over the allegation.
The game is based around the concept of adding heroes throughout it's lifetime. So many marvel heroes are likely to show up. At the very least hawkeye as he has been so prolific during the latest cinematic run. He is likely to be one of the earlier additions.
I don't mind Nolan in anything really, but because he has been playing Deadpool for a while now I had a very hard time not thinking it was deadpool everytime he talked over the coms in the trailers.
He does deserve shot at Tony though. As one of the most prolific and talented voice actors of our generation.
Where have you been since... I don't know. The invention of news media?
Exclusives have been a thing since forever. Come on.
He still makes some valid points. Many games have gotten overhyped for the wrong reasons and particulary towards the wrong people. The disapointment that follows from that is not just the fault of the developers or the publishers. If you buy something because you thought it was something other than what it was and the relevant information was available to you. You can only really blame your own ignorrance.
I. E. When games like Destiny, Anthem or The Division are all market...
Absolutely no reference to gaas in that article.
People in this comment field seem to equate political with sjw.
If you think Kojima, a japanese man that can barely understand english, would even care about Republican vs. Democrat, well you got another thing coming. You guys are so obsessed with the percieved polerazation of your own political parties sometimes.
Kojima has always been political and has almost always focused on the dangers of having a super power like the us controlled by its own industrial military complex. If anything he asks you too look beyond superficial labels li...
Well that does actually happen all the time, but AMD probably deserves the benefit of the doubt.
Well it's more like an MMO version of Monster Hunter. But if your not into the art style - that is understandable.
Unless you can earn money by "winning" then, no it is not literally gambling. It lacks the defining feature to be considered gambling.
If we want to combat loot boxes then we at least have to be honest. EA is using the same rhetoric here that trading card games have used for a while. And when loot boxes becomes illegal, so should they. Because at least they are much closer to be considered gambling.
