people are going overboard..
I mean the article does say most people are swapping the consoles just to play COD - Fair enough.
IMO call of duty generally plays better on the xbox, but most PS3 exclusives is why I have a ps3.
But I bet sometime down the line they will re-buy a ps3.
Ive got both consoles, but Im sure as hell not gonna trade my ps3 in.
Hopefully in the UK we get the ID theft insurance that the USA have.
Otherwise theres gonna be an...
@superman...
Its true, I think as a business they could have jumped on the bandwagon at taking shots at Sony, but ethically speaking Sony didnt mention the RROD them selves.
So its probably got more to do with ethics a level of respect for the competition,
even if a short term promo deal is created it will only be a short term surge in sales. Just allow the media and public opinion do the decision making.
They dont need to go on a public offensive, just carry ...
im sure if they do a price cut its so they can get sales up because people may rethink buying a ps3 after the psn fiasco
paypal hasnt been hacked..
Its been DDOs'd, and people have used phishing sites to hijack acounts.
There has not been a hack, people get those spam emails and click the links, they get phished.
Its kinda user error if you think about it.
Dont open emails from people you dont know.
lol...
Sony already said PSN will be up by the end of the month, but at that point it could change again.
The best way to look at this, there is no confirmed dates.

I dont think MS will sell anything via paypal, but allow people to purchase items, market place DLC etc using paypal.
Hopefully this puts an end to the stupid MS points currency.
I agree, it shows that MS then dont have to worry about saving that information and can allow another service worry about it and it reduces MS costs.
But it might also have been in the works for a while, the update is out in like 9 days so maybe it had been planned for a while.
its unlikely that chrome is come to the current iteration of software...
Not sure about the US, but VOD services on the ps3 are literally broswer bookmarks and plugins to make the look different to a browser.
I was quite amazed at how bad it was when I first used the VOD on my ps3, all the same issues get carried to the VOD service beacuse its built into the browser.
I hope they take an approach like the xbox where an actual APP has be downloaded an installed so it wor...
I agree...
i think 2012 there may be an announcement or some sort of info or demos.
But nothing will be created or released for a couple of years.
Im sure MS are doing RnD by giving it to devs to find the best possible results.
Sony are probably doing the same for PS4 probably not the same announcement, but for developments etc...
Dont forget MS have a larger DVD size to work with as well as devs so they may have extended its lifespan slightly
i sort of agree....I think the whole 3D thing is a waste of time because super HD will be out soon.
Japan seems so sure 3D is the future but its nothing amazing, I know from friends who have tried the 3Ds they say "its pretty good, but I dont see the point"
too many people dont know the facts...
RROD - 3 year warranty and free repair and you get a 1 month xbox live code as an extension for inconvenience, MS will automatically transfer licenses over if you get a different console, so you dont lose anything. After you get your replacement your 3 Year warranty is extended.
Sony PSN hack, your personal details are owned by someone and can be sold because the data was not encrypted.
How is the customer affect...
Get the trittons...
Ive had a chance to use both, and I personally felt that the trittons are better.
Its down to personal preference, I mean I would personally use the Astro A40's over the trittons, but the trittons are 1 of the best headsets out there...
@MRdead...
If all data was encrypted they would break in and do what with encrypted data?
A brute force would probably take 1000 years to break all of the info...
The security breach isnt the problem, its the un-encrypted data which can be used or sold.
Xbox live, ITunes, Spotify and even the pentagon got hacked, but no personal data was not leaked because they were encrypted and would have been useless.
yea its true...
They should have had newer security systems for the 'most powerful console to date'...
Hopefully this gets sorted out, but I read a few hours ago the hackers (who ever they are) will strike a third time very soon....
I dont know how true it is but link below..

I did say maybe...
who knows its too early to announce any 2012 titles anyway
i agree...
I love my 360 a little more than the ps3, I find gaming on it is just easier.
I had mw2 on both consoles and on the ps3 parties kept getting dropped, not to say the xbox was perfect but IMO xbox live is more stable.
I also think that things that tend to matter in slightly more competitive games like voice chat quality are better on the xbox.
I have astro A40's so its even more noticeable that the xbox is better in that department.
I do ag...
there are laws that already exist...Like
the data protection act, which sony have not met because the data was breached.
The problem is that even though the data was securely held it should have been encrypted...this is turning to a witch hunt now, because the EU take privacy quite seriously. Im just waiting to find out what fines sony will get from different parts of the world. the US are just caliing sony stupid but dont forget the pentagon was hacked a few years ago by 1 pe...
i doubt the hack caused much of a difference.
Dont forget sony shares fell when the tsunami and earthquakes hit because of reduced production.
Maybe production has increased again which is why they went up??
Or it could have been with other recent announcements like the tablets etc...
who knows, you cant read into a 2.5% increase
I think they are just saying that so it doesnt cost them to replace potentially millions of cards.
Personally if I had my credit card linked to my PSN account I would change it anyway.
Its better to get it done now and not have to worry about chasing the paper trail if some uses your cards.
The most confusing thing is that they havent named any specific bank. Its a confusing time for people who have linked accounts, because some 'experts' say change everything ...
yea...seems more like a way to avoid anymore publicity on the fact that PSN is down.
If they gave daily updates on progress it mighty ease some customers minds.
