I would say the 360 is about 75%ish perecent through.
The ps3 is around 65% or so
The reason: Both are going to be getting stuck by hardware I.E - The graphics cards in each machine will limit graphical output.
Both processors are powerful enough to go longer, but the graphics cards will limit more than anything else.
MS learning from a more open Sony??
I think so, its a good and welcomed change.
Could be something great
@wizziokid..
Maybe its the start of a changing view.
But change is good, at least they are trying to learn
its the same as sony pushing a 3dtv.
Its another part of their business that needs to make money.
Hence sony building 3dtvs and pushing the ps3 in that direction.
@Supersaiyan4..
You can pay via paypal and just unlink the payment option after you do it like 10 times
I just tried it with my 2nd account
Its not a glitch.
Its a clever MS marketing ploy.
Make people rush buy, they did this last time.
Its also on the dashboard,
Great marketing on MS part.
Sony should do something like this, it makes people think "Ill give it a go for £1",
if they really like it they will go and buy a yearly subscription.
Its like all drug dealers, the first one is 'free/very cheap', the next will cost you though.
Get them hoo...
The number of discs only indicate the data required took more space.
Since a xbox 360 user can install discs to the hard drive it pretty much cancels out that argument.
People keep using the phrase squeezing water from stones, but it is very software based on both the 360 and ps3, the hardware could go further still, but the massive tweaks will be done via the software and dev tools. New compression methods etc...
Great E.g Iphone has pretty terrible hardware specs, bu...
its all about making the money... would you rather make a game and sell to 50 million, or to a possible 100 million??
why is it there are still more people playing GTA IV than SR2?
Look at the xbox live stats, gta IV is still in the top 10 most played games, SR2 isnt on the list.
You may not have liked it, but many others did and still do.
lol..
I preferred GTA IV to SR2.
I do use standard controllers on my 360 and ps3, I didnt buy a Wii.
I dont need to swing my arms around
I find kinect, Wii and PS move pointless.
I like using a controller.
As a core gamer I dont have kinect, but it has no relevance to me. I want good games with my controller
I think MS know that the biggest core audience is call of duty and shooter lovers..
They know with a deal with activision they can keep some people that way, there are more casual COD players than there are hardcore gamers so they are likely to stay since kinect is a 'great addition'. MS are trying to get more casuals on the xbox.
We will only know if they have neglected core gamers if 2012 has no games. 2011 is looking relatively bad but most gamers on xbox only wait ...
MS make a good point, but im sure all games companies etc.. will be making improvments in security.
MS even added paypal very slyly, they didnt make a massive announcement, they mentioned it with one of their updates.
MS played it well, they didnt make any waves and kept out of the limelight, however in the article the say hack free xbox, but Jtag xbox's got MW2 hacks and hackers managed to download builds of games for reviewers.
fourzerotwo said on that reddit thing there will definitely be an interneal beta, but there is not info for a public one.
AS quick scoping goes - It doesnt actually take skill due to the fact that the aim assist is very strong and the gun tend to point toward the middle of the screen.
Try it, go to black ops and play with the aim assist off, go to mw2 and watch the gun drag you away from someone you are shooting at.
Since the MW2 aim assist i...
Even though MS have been last in sales for months they are still selling quite well in their most favoured markets.
The only time they will price cut will be when Sony decide to.
Its a simple waiting game to outdo sony which makes sense.
the biggest concern:
A demo or Beta?
They are tooo cocky if they dont make a beta.
I think most games require good sales and there isnt point trying to release around the COD window.
After Xmas is usually best, but look at games like ghost recon, its been delayed like 3 times already.
Most will release games 6 months after COD
lol...i think the anon attacks on PSN will be traced fairly easily but the more experienced hackers will be staying away from the limelight.
I bet you the 3 suspects are quite young..16 or under?
maybe thats why no info was released on them
@NAte-Dog - I actually thought the spec ops mode was pretty poor.
WaW had co-op campaign and zombies, this will be very similar to MW2 spec ops.
IW couldnt be bothered to support that game correctly, look at black ops it is the best call of duty to date but its actually very boring.
Having said that Treyarch have daily updates and fixes which they do via an INI file so they do not need massive patches. Treyarch did it for WaW and IW didnt take that into consideration. ...
Who knows why they make such dumbfounded predictions.
Really, look at apple - they like to control their software and devices as much as possible, so the use experience is great, but comes at a cost.
many people say the MS are very closed about xbox live, imagine apple, they are way more extreme with having things done their way.
I remember a few devs saying that MS RnD is priceless, it provides a real insight into games and platforms etc..
