Sony may sell another 100 million but once the hacked consoles are out there. They cannot get them back, it all depends on how this case with geohot goes.
If Geohot wins and sony are forced to put other OS back onto the system theres another hack possible.
No system is unhackable, some just take longer than others.
If anyone wants a hacked console they will find ways to get an old one...Ebay, used game stores etc...

About the 'hack proof' part is true, its kind of pointless.
With over 40 million consoles out there, and sooo many waiting to be picked up as spare parts and the many shelves that have yet to be emptied its a little late.
There are likely to be another few million on the shelves around the world (if not more), so Sony will have a small number of consoles which are hack proof and a majority which can be hacked.

beta's are for extra hype in a game and to help find bugs.
On the flip side - Look at Blur, they ran out of beta codes so they opened the beta and not many people bought the game.
The final game was very buggy until it was patched (I sold my game before any patches came out)

Bulletstorm is nothing to do with reality, its made to be over the top and stupid.
Bulletstorm is purely for fun and so called 'skill shots/combos etc...'
Killzone 3 will be a great game, but its fighting a multi plat game.
Thats like saying killzone will beat the next call of duty (sales not quality of game).
The great thing about both of the games, they had beta/demos which helped sell their cases to potential customers.

The beta/demo was really good but the final product was pretty bad.
There was some major lagg and all sorts of problems, not to mention that not many people bought the game.
Who knows the sequel might have been good.

Even with Sony at 3rd they wont care, they are making bags of money from blu ray royalties. They want to make a large profit margin on the ps3's just like they did with the ps2. How long was it before the PS2 actually got a price drop?

anything above 60Hz will make most games look good.
Some console games havent been created to run higher than 60hz or what ever default is.
100hz runs smooth enough, and anything above 100hz make a small difference, but it is better although the difference is very hard to notice.
Ive seen a 600hz plasma TV and compared to a 100hz LED tv there isnt much difference.
As long as its 100hz or above it will look very good with little motion blur.

Gears will be good, but all we need (on the xbox side) are more games.
Sony has a serious line up which started from Nov 2010 and will pretty much go through 2011.
MS have to match it.

The graphics were good at the time, these mods took until now to make the game look like it does above.
I dont get how people can justify graphic improvements when they happen like almost 3 years after the game is out.
The only way you can say graphics do not improve over time is if a game is released and doesnt look as good as the games released previously.
