Ummmm Sony is not 'out of the woods'
Im not being a fanboy, I have a ps3 and a couple of Sony Tv's, but Sony have had a horrible Q4 2012.
Engadget reported today that Sony is selling its NY headquarters so they can have a profit.
That does not sound like 'out of the woods'
Its a shame, Sony is not the premium brand it once was, I really hope they can sort themselves out.
1. Sony do make good hardware
2. For competition in the...

I agree that Blur was actually a great game, but the released version had soo many bugs.
It had more bugs than the Beta, Im not sure why it didnt sell, there was a massive amount of people that played and lime the demo/beta.
Maybe it was timing?

This article/rant - does make perfect sense, I used to pay for XBL without even thinking, because I needed to play online.
I doubt MS will ever give out the statistic of XBL gold accounts that are used less than 1 hour a week, but there must be soo many.
They should make XBL silver, have the same functionality as the PSN free, and the extra features like party chat etc.. should be in Gold.
MS will find a drop in XBL membership sometime soon, but they can easily combat ...

its not really about the money, because both apple and google could easily afford it too.

Those tips are pretty generic, every player will have a favourite weapon. The best way to play a game like this is to match your play style.
If you are aggressive you need to be able to move quickly reload quickly and potentially have a large clip.
If you play slow and defend an objective, you need a silencer etc..
Each play style can vary, but most players take the hide in a corner till someone walks by, kill them and then move to another corner.

The ...

How does this article even get approved?
It says 835 people (at the time or writing I assume) are complaining.
Im just taking 60 million ps3 sales (just for arguments sake, I dont really care what the actual number is).
That makes 0.00139% how can it makes news?

@yeaokchief..
Sony might be doing great in the gaming division, and having 'core gamers backs'
But lets not forget the other things they have done in the past.
Not having backwards compatibility even though it was possible, or the CD root thing, or how they did not let customers know about the hack for a few days. Thats a few things

You can say the RROD was a catastrophe but MS at least provided a free repair service and an extended warranty. ...

@GribbleGrunger...
The only reason the ps3 took 'so long' to hack is because all of the big hackers did not care, but once sony gave them a reason to be angry they opened up the system.
All systems/hardware/software are prone to hacks, its a matter of time.

Back to the article - I dont know how these USBs will be used, I assume most users will have a more up to date FW installed.

Sony really wont even take notice of this, the console h...

but why would you buy MOH when the next Battlefield is out not long after?
It happened with the last MOH and BF3, why would you buy MOH, when BF3 was significantly better.
MOH should be considered BF 2.5, EA know it is not have the appeal of COD of BF, why would anyone invest in this game?

@CraigandDayDay
I do think sony is slowly creating its own eco system. Getting the PS stuff on android etc.., gearing up for cloud tech, the vita etc.
I think its a logistical thing where they do not need to spend too much money on integration right now, they are working towards making something due for PS4 launch.
Makes more sense to have it ready for PS4 release because they can phase out PS3 integration.

The writer of the article has not mentioned how hold he actually is, or whether the DOB on the account is lower than the rating of the game. Surely Sony support could just reset those settings remotely?
But seriously I reckon its the DOB on the account thats causing the block

@Abizzel1 - I dunno if youre right.
I think clearing the cache usually does it, but the xbox parental controls are linked to each account. They can be easily disabled.

Oh my I havent played any call of duty since like January and you reminded me why.
The game just infuriates me, the amount of madness that occurs is just annoying.

I have captured some clips of gameplay which makes no sense, it used to be on my youtube channel but i think it got taken down because activision made youtube take it down.

But some of my deaths made literally no sense, even when watching kill cams the order in...

@LX-General-Kaos Could not have said it better my self. I think nintendo had a clear strategy from the day they released the wii.

They have a head start on sony and MS and they have applied a similar strategy again.
The prices are slightly higher than the xbox and PS3, and Im sure they will be bundling it with games for christmas, both Sony and Ms will suffer if Nintendo get this right

LOL..NO Im happy im saving the money for a different game.
And even if the graphics were better I dont think I would buy a call of duty game because they have not changed.

You say call of duty is a smooth game, but multiplayer usually has quite a few bugs and flaws.

Completely agree, the jump between mw1 and mw2 is fairly significant but the only thing that seems to have changed since is the colouring of the environment.
The 'Graphics' are virtually identical.

Thank god I am not buying this game

there are too many misconceptions here,
yes the actual CPU and the SPU are unlikely to be maxed out for a while, but the graphics cards and RAM are where the issues occur.

What @wastedcells said about optimisation is true, you can only go so far if you physically cannot get past a certain point.

@Iamnsuperman..
LOL yea, when I was doing my dissertation I saved it in 5 places at least, with daily updates and changes, so I saved a new file and date stamped it.
I even uploaded it to the cloud, I was soo paranoid that something might go wrong and doing that much work again is impossible as it took me almost 6 months to get everything in 1 file.

Back to the article:
OUCH, i know someone suggested saving to the cloud, but the cloud is limited right? <...

A couple weeks ago (if that) - I remember I said price cuts are less likely, offering some bundles will be the option Sony and MS take.
Its more profitable for them to offer bundles, because the margin on games is not massive and both companies lose less if they offer big discounts on games.

Pretty simple business tactics, and its effective at certain times of the year

@WiiUalpha
Yea I agree, but EA have been doing this for soo long and only recently has this been taken to court.
Im pretty sure every sports franchise have exclusivity rights with EA, I dont understand how players name's fall into it, but whatever EA did the work years ago.
Hopefully they pay for it
