@tiffac008 - Its hard to say whether internet connection will be the only factor.
I can see graphics being decoded elsewhere and then being piped to a console, actual computing and calculations are another thing due to the size of the calculations and the speed at which they are made is less likely (At least for now).
cloud based performance is a real thing.
AMD have a graphics server which can encode/ decode locally then send the decoded images to the workstation.
It does work well (I use it as part of my consulting job).
Now - The real question is, will it work with the average internet speeds in the world?

THe bandwidth required is just not high enough, so yes theory is there.
Practically the speeds required to achieve this will just not support it for...

If MS said, if you go digital (excluding DRM)you get these bonuses etc..
If you have kinect you get these bonuses..
Obviously ensure the DRM/ privacy is been created with consum...
if there are younger kids, parents can use the privacy settings to make it harder to hear abuse..
i.e - only chat with friends from the friends list etc.
Those safeguards do a decent job i think.
Using real names etc - MS already hand data over to the NSA, it makes it easier to find out who is who from the data sent.

It will come out for PC, most likely a few months later (as history would suggest).
The next gen consoles again will most likely get a release too probably around the same time as the PC (Its easier to port between PC and next gen consoles).
Take2 will always get rockstar to do that, because its about money too.

MS took a lost of surface RT because they retained too much stock.

@Dedicatedtogamers.. Without MS and XBL PSN would not have existed, gamers would not have been playing around the world via a connected service.
MS has done some great things, recently they have been terrible but Sony have been just as bad.
Yeah - Its very true Sony have learned from every mistake and event from the current gen.
MS got too cocky plain and simple.
I can only applaud Sony on what they have done, and as a consumer I have got more confidence in Sony than I do with MS.
I do hope MS fix up, but realistically its going to be the hardest fight to win back gamers - and the gen has not even started :/
