With GTA4, I dont think MS did anything wrong.
Rockstar went to Sony and asked if they want it to be exclusive, Sony didnt reply.
MS stepped in with this content deal, but the average sales figures were not MS's problem, even Dan Houser said the release was too late in the cycle, many people had forgotten about GTA4 by the time TLAD was released.

Its true, and its not only MS. Most large tech companies do not comment on rumors.
This is now getting a little out of hand, this many articles on a rumor.

KOTOR 3 had people working on it, the art work was released in some book (Rogue Leaders: The Story of LucasArts - I think).
Same goes for other games, just like kotor 3 (the plot was written, art work was drawn).
The only game Disney cancelled is 1313, the rest were cancelled by one of the execs, then they closed down the studio, even though lucasarts are going to make games on the new films.
But its a shame because the games from the list were pretty...

This guy is part of the Microsoft studios, and he's a creative director, he has say in games and probably a small amount of influence in what goes into the nextbox.

@aviator189 i completely agree, These are all stupid rumours. What if someone is switching internet provider and they lose 6 hours of internet connectivity but want to play a game and cant will only result in lawsuit especially in the states.

The problem is some games are expected every year and if developers have to meet these annual deadlines whilst trying to code for a processor that is generally harder to code for, the games quality could take a hit.
CPU's are powerful enough to easily handle games for a very long time, consoles are only as strong as their weakest component which is usually RAM or GPU.
The PS3 processor will be fine in the next gen but lack of RAM and GPU ...
I pretty much agree. I do not mind paying for 1 year xbox live, but over the past 2 years it just is not good value for money especially when compared with psn.
I know many will say it has never been value for money, but I have very rarely had problems with any online feature.
It should also be considered, the 'internet revolution' which has boomed, to the point where cloud computing etc... has significantly reduced costs for infrastructure so MS cannot hide...

RAM is important, because it allows the CPU to access data quickly in any order the CPU prioritises.
The higher the ram the more can be stored and in turn the more can be accessed quickly by the CPU.
Not only that, the speed of the RAM is just as important.
So yes RAM will improve CPU performance (in being able to access the data and process it).

the delay i am sure is to have a next gen version ready, the problem I have with this is if I buy GTA V on my current consoles (PS3/Xbox) then buy the next gen consoles I will have to buy the same game again, and I know rockstar will eventually release a next gen version. Its good business, slightly unethical to essentially charge customers twice but they will do it.
3D was just advertised to get consumers to buy TV's, but the consumers all just said "we hate the glasses and stupid price tags" - Not only that but many films literally have a few scenes in 3D (THor comes to mind).
The next thing the big companies want to press is 4K.

This whole argument of RROD consoles are the reason for more xbox 360's being purchased is complete nonsense.
The warranty is 3 years, it extends to any replacement a customer receives. Even after the warranty is over, only refurb consoles were returned to customers so the warranty is restarted.
I do not doubt some customers will have bought a new console but it is not the major contributing factor to all sales.
