@Hatsune-Miku
I dont know why anyone would use the vita as the ps3 controller over the actual ps3 controller (Unless their controller is lost, stolen or damaged lol).
I get that a game can be continued on the go - THat makes sense.
Im with Chadboban on this, it will be interesting to see where Sony go with the vita/ps3/ps4 use.
But if its meant for more integration with the ps4 then why release it now?
I can see sony making an ecosyste...
@joeorc.
Its great that they are bringing Sony the playstation store to android, but thats only half the battle and uptake of it is still not clear. Lets not forget the number of Iphones that are out there too.
Experia phones sold 7+Mil in 3 months, Samsung sold over 20 million in that time.
I actually love the way Sony are keeping open source such a priority, but I just dont want to buy one of their phones because they cant compete with the competition, they ...
I do agree that there are some factors which sony could not have even foreseen or stopped,
and to an extent about western markets not spending.
Many brands are in the limelight and are selling much better.
Just looking at TV's samsung, LG and even Toshiba seem to be doing better, in audio electronics no one can catch apple and the Ipod.
Tablets - Apple again, followed by Samsung and Asus.
Mobile/Cellular phones - Apple, samsung and nokia are doing b...
Thats exactly it.
Sony have mad bad decisions in every department (including the gaming division, only for a small amount of time).
Its not all Sony's fault though, blu ray is a great invention and I dont think anyone could have seen on demand and IPTV/ streaming services would so dramatically increase which is one major reason as to why physical disc (both DVD and blu ray sales are so bad). That was out of Sony's control, but royalties from blu ray are going to be v...

THe way this gamestop pre order stock works.
They take the pre orders, the head office/ distribution teams will try to fulfil each stores pre order list, so 1 store might sell 100 WII U's and another may sell 5.
The probably have a rough idea (if not an accurate idea) of the total stock they will be getting.
Now they know the pre-order figures by store they can send out the correct numbers of consoles to each store accordingly.
Its ...
Having the most powerful console doesn't make them the best.
Whats made Sony very good is the games and exclusives they have.
I pretty much bought my PS3 because of the exclusives, not because of the blu ray or the cell processor.
BLu ray is a great technology but Sony are kicking themselves, because physical media sales have been dropping since the release of blu ray technology due to netflix and similar services for films/TV shows etc.

not only that, if the meeting is public many facts will be left out or very un-clear.
They will talk about growth plans etc more than release dates
LOL so true.
Im sure that many of the males who act like that probably have the same self esteem issues the females might do, or they just havent tried enough in the real world since most of their time is taken up by gaming.
The problem with gaming online is because of its anonymity it makes it easier to make false things up about yourself, so a girl with a GT/PSN ID hotgirl89 or something is likely to draw more attention to herself based on that fact alone, some peop...
Yea, sorry wasnt clear.
I know PSN is free and PSN+ has all the extra features, but if I only game online and nothing else I do not require the extra features provided by PSN+ like the cloud saving, the DLC, mini games, discounts etc..
I dont need them, I just play online every now and then,
To be fair, how many people are going to pay for something that is free?
Yes you do get the little extras (which are great) but how many people want them?
If a person (like me) has signed up to PSN/SEN to play online as its primary function, why would I want to pay for it? I have no use for the extra free DLC etc, so I would not bother to pay for the premium service.
I do however pay for XBL (Until recently, havent renewed since I dont have as much time to gam...

LOOOL - I think most people do know why it was not as 'complete' as S.A was, but the ignorance takes over rational thought.
I do agree with some of your comments, about why GTA IV is not the best in the series. YOURE 100% CORRECT - Many hated it because of what content was missing from the game, "its what it didnt do"
I will say though, I did like GTA IV and they did create some great mechanics in that game, I loved the wa...
Its good to see bicycles making a come back.
I just hope all the little things make it back too, car mods etc..
@knight_Crawler
Yes GTA IV did not have everything that S.A did, but at the time not everything would fit on the disk.

I know the engine argument is getting old but some changes are required, and they could use this as a stepping stone for the next gen could they not?
Building an engine from the ground up really is not as hard as it used to be.
As far as the 'good business decision' how much money are they going to make from this game?
Also activision/Tw/IW do not spend money on developing hardware.
If they havent changed the engine, nothing has actually changed.
Picking perks and classes may differ, but the fundamental part of the game is the engine and they just want to be lazy.
To some extent with gaming becoming a massive part of peoples lives these days, they should just add it to the game. Its not hard, in turn it would help raise the womens profile of the game and could boost sales.
Instead of selling it as 2 different games, just include women in the disc.
@rpgsaviior..
The handheld market is profitable but Sonys handhelds are the ones not making money.
The Vita has disappointing sales, sony mobile phones are pretty poor compared to the competition and mobile games are now selling for a fraction of the price of Vita games.
In terms of value what will be cheaper in the long term: A PS Vita with expensive games, or an android/Iphone with cheap games (Some games are free) and an insane amount of apps and other features like...
Its possible to get it on a ps3, but you need a ps3 with a very old firmware.
Then you can still install it, but updating it will stop other O.S.
If you are on a newer firmware then the firmware has to be cracked and a custom firmware must be installed.
not anymore
@sikbeta
I agree with your point to an extent but should the vita be the hardware that carries on integration with the ps4 then why have sony releasd it now?
Thats my main concern, you would want hardware that accomdates with the ps4 (assuming the vita is supposed to function in that way).
Oldish hardware is just annoying to work with, and maybe a 'vita2' may be released with the ps4.
Its a bit of a confusing strategy.
With the way ever...
