I purchase Nintendo consoles just to get away from the bland FPS, TPS and fighting games that the other companies have done to the point of them becoming incredibly stale.
While all the other companies are arguing over which console has the best water droplet particle effects on a characters simulated hair, Nintendo is innovating with new experiences that are actually fun.
I can't remember the last time I smiled playing a shooter.
Are you sure you read the article right?
In no way was he admitting defeat.
In no way was he saying they cannot compete.
I sure hope you're trolling.
Handhelds have always been Nintendo's lifeblood, as well.
If Nintendo's handhelds are failing then Nintendo is in trouble.
No Nintendo handheld had ever failed before, that's why he was so quick to do those cuts etc.
And how in the world is cutting his own paycheck a sign of him having "shat brick"? I thought it was incredibly generous of him, and a much better choice than dropping devs (the only other option...).
3rd parties aren't supporting it because of a lack of... encouragement *cough*bribingdevs*couch*
The power isn't a problem. Remember the PS2? It was the least powerful, but had the best 3rd party support anyway.
Power doesn't correlate to 3rd parties.
I have a Wii U.
Now you know two people :)
They're slowly upgrading the OS.
The most recent update was on Oct 1st, and the "Summer" update is still to come (hopefully it comes soon.).
The Wii U has fine online capabilities, Nintendo just doesn't have servers for the games and the game devs/publishers don't want to make their own servers for a system that has a low install base.
I like your profile pic. :)
Metroid was more of an exploration/adventure game than a FPS IMO.
@Badz149
The PS3 only has 256MB of RAM and not all of that is usable for games.
The Wii U OS is incredibly unoptimised as it is. An OS of it's complexity could easily run on less RAM and I expect future updates to change that.
I'd be surprised if it wasn't.
Now it's down to if they use the touchscreen well deciding if I'll get it on the Wii U or the PS4.
Barely anyone buys third party games on the Wii U, Nintendo knows this and so do the third party devs.
They can't change that when good ports go unnoticed just as often as poor ports.
Why make a good port if the bad port will sell as well as it anyway? That's how the publishers think, and it's going to be hard for Nintendo to change it.
I bought the Wii U for the first party games, but I was also hoping to get some great third party titles...
This is about the Wii U not getting DLC, which the PS3 and 360 ARE getting, even though they're "A BIT" less powerful than the Wii U.
And don't you dare pull that "a bit better than PS3" crap, because even just comparing the RAM (which is the Wii U's weakest point against next-gen) the Wii u is still eight times the PS3's RAM.
Also, ZombiU did break even, that story was craftily edited by some (obviously anti-Nintendo) news...
Project CARS USED to use one CPU core, but they added particle shading and some other effects and it now uses all of them.
I think "X" looks better than any PS4 or XBOX ONE game shown so far, just because of it's MASSIVE scale and the way it still pulls off graphics that great.
If I didn't already have four Wii remotes then I'd totally buy these.
The GamePad is more innovative than anything in gaming since the Wii remote, and you really need to try having the GamePad in your household before you realise just how great it is using it without the TV, as a TV remote etc.
I agree, the controls take some time to get used to, but once you do they're not much worse than any other games controls.
Of course they will.
Even if the graphics aren't improved, it'll be in HD.
Normally I hate your comments, but this one seems to be an actual enthusiastic post about a game.
Apart from your annoying wink face at the end of every comment and your reputation on Nintendo stories, I can't see why you have so many disagrees.
Wii U day 1 for me, the game looks incredible.
From the little gameplay we've seen, it certainly looks different.
And those graphics.
They're incredibly impressive.
I'm not sure it was the summer update, that one was going to speed up the OS (this one didn't), but it might have been. I might just be crazy.
