Why is it such a common idea that cartoony graphics are less intensive than games that try to look real?
Just because a game has more colour than another game does doesn't mean it's easier to run.
Cartoony games are just as graphically intensive as any non-cartoony game, they just choose to look like that to appeal to a different demographic.
Just look at Mario Kart 8, it looks light years ahead of the Wii and 3DS versions, obviously ...
Why is it a stupid comparison, especially when the Wii U is actually beating out the competitors.

Power has nothing to do with the generations, and if it does; it says right there that the Wii U has more games running in 1080p 60fps than the other "next-gen" consoles.

If you think about it, we could be heading towards another videogaming crash. It's showing all the signs of the last crash, now we just have to wait until people realise they're getting ripped off and stop buying the games. It's as simple as that, once people realise, there will be a videogaming crash. And that might not even be a bad thing since a crash could result in more games trying to diversify themselves from each other.
I'm tired of shooters.
What if someone wanted to create a 2D sprite based game? Would they have to make a game that looks as good as the dark sorcerer? Haha, that'd suck as a dev.
Game looks good, but the graphics are still as bad as the Wii instalment.
There were some 3rd party Wii games that sold better on it than other consoles, but the Wii was targeted at an audience that only bought a specific type of game.
The Wii U isn't any less "on the same level" than the PS2 was to it's competitors, either. It can actually compete quite well if programmed correctly and it has been shown that the on-paper specs don't tell the full story with it's CPU outperforming anything that it should be able to do, and...

It is incredibly comfortable.
GTA is doing great. It'll probably break a few records.
But Pokemon X/Y sold 5 million in one day.
Third party has never had anything to do with graphics.
PS2 was least powerful, but had the best 3rd party.
360 was less powerful, but had more 3rd party than the PS3 (at least early on).

Why the disagrees? Do people think that the PS4 and Xbox One won't have dry periods?
Every console ever released has had a dry period shortly after release, some worse than others.
Or do they think that games like Mario Kart and Smash Bros. aren't critical titles?
All the critical titles come out then, just as the PS4 and Xbox One will be going through their drought periods.

They said that before they had the $50 price drop.
Now they're losing a lot more than before.
They are making more than a couple. It just sucks how far away they are, most of them are in 2014.
It looked so great until the reviews started coming in.
