Of course, there are a lot of RTS snobs who think complex game mechanics equals better. however, chess is a very simple game and is still played on a higher strategic level worldwide than any RTS to date. So maybe complex game mechanics aren't such a smart thing afterall.
Saying the cut-scenes merely look good is a bit of an understatement. The cut-scenes are some of the best, if not the best, rendered cut-scenes of this console generation. however, if from your personal experience you've seen cut-scenes that look better then please let me know which games.
the whole idea of an integrated online media network built into a gaming console was Microsoft's idea in the first place so without Microsoft there would probably be no PSN at all, anyway.

because he's right. whoever contributed the article gave it a misleading title. maybe if he's a Sony fanboy he might be butthurt because he saw the title and thought, "Oh boy, the best RPG in years is coming to my PS3!!" and then realized it just a blog written by some random dude living in his mom's basement who basically has no clue and wants some hits for his website.

So what? Even if it was true that the PS3 has better graphical ability, and this is highly debatable, than the X360 it doesn't mean squat. The original Xbox had better graphical abilities and better specs than the PS2 and I don't see all these Sony fanboys who are all of a sudden so concerned with graphics singing the praises of the Xbox as the best console of its generation.
Won't happen because every Sony fanboy was in love with his PS2 even though it was technically speaking ...

Reality check, guys. With all of Sony's brand recognition and how much market share they had in the gaming industry only a couple years ago, the PS3 is a failure. But I don't know, maybe it was Sony's plan to be in last place.

So what? A lot of console kiddies (a term coined by PC gamers back when console games were generally very inferior to PC games in graphics and gameplay) played Goldeneye because they didn't know any better. Back when Goldeneye was out I was playing Quake 3, Counter-strike, and Half-life online on my PC. These PC games are still playable by today's standards. Halo: CE is playable by today's standards. Goldeneye is not. Without dual analog the aiming is imprecise at best and horrendous at worst...

Yeah, I guess MMOs are just inherently imbalanced due to gear and complex multi-specced class mechanics. "Balanced" games are usually symmetrical or relatively simple in their mechanics. It's either you accept these imbalances and roll with the punches, nerfs, and buffs, play mostly PVE, roll a flavor of the current patch class, or get fed up and quit.
warlocks only suck in the ways that all other clothies suck. they're nothing special in their suckage. it's just that they're no longer completely EZ mode, just EZ mode lite. they're a terror on the BG, a terror one on one, a terror in PVE, and there are Warlocks in the top arena teams so they must not be completely broken in Arenas although admittedly that is their weakness.
I actually recently quit because of class imbalance.

I have played Goldeneye 64. It's garbage compared to Halo. Halo: CE still holds up to time; Goldeneye 64 is virtually unplayable these days. I urge all the Goldeneye nuthuggers to go play Goldeneye again and then play Halo: CE. Goldenye doesn't even have dual analog for movement and shooting.
It's probably not the snow. We get lots of snow here in New England and it doesn't effect cable internet speed. Unless maybe you have satellite internet.
Halo is a huge title and millions of people are all downloading this at once. MS doesn't usually release public downloadable demos for blockbuster franchises so this is sort of uncharted territory.

I hate the Resident Evil series. it's just doesn't scare me. Heck, Half-life is a scarier series than Resident Evil and it's not even trying to be horror for the most part.

Wrong. Microsoft games started in 1990. Ever heard of PC games? also, Microsoft Windows as a gaming platform has been around a lot longer than the Playstation. Look it up.

Sony runs a ton of promotions and discounts on Amazon so it tends to do better on Amazon than the 360. Sony has clearly targeted Amazon as a retail outlet and has done a good job of selling it's products there. That being said, you can't trust the sales rankings at all. In North America, the PS3 was ranked higher than the X360 throughout the holiday season on Amazon. Meanwhile, in North America the X360 was out selling the PS3 two to one.
