It won't go PS3.
MS published the first game and sunk a lot of money in Bioware. Bioware is to the 360 like Kojima studios is to the PS3. No way does MS let this go Multiplat. Plus, Mass Effect 2 is all about carrying over your save files from the first game and with no first game on the PS3 I highly doubt Bioware will just drop the sequel on a platform that never even had the first one.
seriously, all they had to do was make the side quests a little better and with more variety and Mass Effect would have been the best RPG ever.

I would love for Japanese developers to be right up there with the West because it would mean more great games however as it stands Japan is still stuck in last gen to a degree.
I would urge any JRPG developer to study Mass Effect, Fable 2, World of Warcraft, and Fallout 3. I agree that Japan has contributed a ton to the RPG and I grew up playing Final Fantasy but right now they need to adopt some western advances and then work from there.
