This could be a serious dagger in Sony's side if this turns out to be a better campaign than the original. It already looks cooler and more heavy metal.
But I don't think MS will drop support for the Xbox 360 even when the 720 is released like they did with the Xbox. The reason they dropped support for the Xbox is because they were losing money on each console sold. They were new to the gaming market and had yet to streamline their production costs like they've done with the 360.

There will be no price drop this year. You can pretend there will be if it makes you feel better but if you show up at the gaming store with $299 and try to buy a PS3 you won't have much luck.

counterstrike: source has been out 5 years in October and people are still finding glitches and exploits. this is what happens when your game sells 4 million within a couple months.

What the heck are you talking about? The PS2's power paled in comparison to the Xbox. Part of the reason was that the Xbox came out years later, another part of the reason is that MS knows how to build a better console. Hence the reason the PS3 is in dead last right now. But stop living in the past anyways. Think about today: PS3 = fail.

you think the squad ai is bad because you need to learn to play the game. you can control the squad. Also, you can even play the game similiar to a turn-based RPG if you frequently pause to give your squad directions.

Bioware is a similar studio to Valve in that they're a relatively small studio that develops for PC like architecture. It would be a huge undertaking to port Mass Effect to the PS3 and I highly doubt MS would let it happen. Especially, when the sales for the PS3 ports of Bioshock and the Orange box flopped so it wouldn't take that much coaxing or money from MS to keep it exclusive. I just don't get...
vg chartz is way over-tracking the PS3 in both hardware and software. they have MGS4 selling almost 1.5 million in America while NPD has MGS4 at 1 million.
