I agree madmonkey.

I bought a ps3 launch console. Gt5 was on the box. It was years before that game came out as a prologue. The wait was excruciating. To be honest when the game did come out, I loved the graphics, but everything else about the game left me feeling... underwhelmed. I look forward to gt7, but if they're not going to release info, show that they're working on the game, or make me wait a few more years before they bring it out. I believe I may just ...

Yes because ms has proven that their hardware is always capable of handling the heat from overclocking. The minimal cpu boost on the Xbox one is negligible. Both consoles have very weak cpus. I expect the next set of consoles to have a similar issue. Not because of the parent companies abilities to acquire better cpus, or anything like that. But simply because consoles have power requirements, sacrifices must be made.

I completely agree. Breaking the game in to pieces and feeding it to us for a price is very wrong. Then they have the gall to say "look we fixed it! That will be $60, $80, $100 more ty."

I understand those that defend the game. At its core its a great game, but to pander for money in such crude ways is wrong. Then botch it all over again by demanding even more money. Just wow.

I imagine if gta 5, fallout 4, the witcher 3, or any game like that...

Add me. I only have vanilla game but play a lot. I like the game, just not their pricing. Will likely pick up the full taken king experience used.

I think it's funny that ps4 fans are saying the cloud isn't anything special, or things to that affect. While Xbox fans are saying I told you so. I have yet to play a product myself that proves, or disproves anything. So I would hold off on celebrating for either side.

There's a good possibility that crackdown may not work as they advertised. Then again, there's the exact same chance that the game goes off without a hitch, all I'm saying is why don...

You miss my point entirely. I'm saying you can release older games to turn a profit, while you get a firm idea of what kind of console your fan base is asking for. I never said only their old games were good.

As for Sony going under... Anything can happen. No company is immune to going under. But Nintendo is/has been following a similar path as sega did. Releasing products with no clear vision, releasing gimmicks, and losing third party support. The only thing that ...

Wow, way to troll. Speak for yourself. I would kill for all the classic Nintendo games I grew up with. I'm just not going to buy one of their consoles to get it. Unless that is, they put out a console that is worth buying.

I guarantee for every person like you, that wants a new pretty game, there's at least 5 people that would be willing to pick up old Nintendo games. If nothing else, for nostalgia alone.

I'm not saying you bring anything current to other consoles. Push out the first 3 Zelda games, first few metroids, and the same with Mario. It's easy. This buys you time to fit the same cycle as Sony and Microsoft, and come out with a console that has a real controller, and enough power to get 3rd party support.

Seriously, why doesn't Nintendo just stop pushing hardware for a bit, and become a software company? Not permenantely mind you. Just until they right the ship, find their identity, and come up with a clear and concise plan of action.

The sheer amount of money they could make releasing some of their back catalog of games on current gen systems would make them tons of money. It would also give them time to see what they've done right and wrong in the past, and come u...

I remember AMD making a big deal out of what they called graphics core next tech in the 7000 and newer series. Touting with mantle their gpus would surpass nvidia, due to the actual architecture they used. Of course we all laughed then (myself included, and I own AMD cards currently), and dismissed it as usual AMD big talk. I can't help but wonder if it is drivers, which AMD is not known for. Or the architecture they spoke so highly of in the past.

Either way I hope...

I didn't hear them say wether it was wired or wifi connection. Likely wifi. I have ps TV, and it performs very poorly over wifi. The input and video lag are too much to handle for anything fast paced. Although it does do well on less detailed, and time sensitive games. I would assume the same is true over Xbox one streaming, but at least you guys get it for free.

I think both you and n4c misunderstand what I'm trying to say. I'm in no way against dlc. What I am against is the current dlc model. I remember the days when dlc, wasn't called dlc. It was called an expansion. It usually cost $20-40, and added a whole new story arc, new characters, new areas to explore etc. it often came months after the game.

Now you get day 1 nickel and dime dlc, that is sometimes found on disc. This practice IMHO is unacceptable. Give ...

While you're absolutely right from both a legal, and business stand point. Do you believe this is an acceptable business model for gamers?

It's standard for business's to offer varying models of products at purchase, and varying prices for upgrades in the future. This is both in hardware and software sales for business's of all kinds.

But when you get to a game, compare it to a movie. Imagine a movie came out, in 3-5 different editions. Wh...

yes. Now that they have a solid base to build on, they will come out with another destiny, and it will be perfect.

To bad many won't buy it. As they wont trust Bungie-vision not to do it to them again.

@thekhurg

I too like destiny's core gameplay. But there is a serious lack of content if you wish to compare it to an mmo. As a run of the mill shooter, it still lacks content, the main storyline is 4 hrs or less.

In comparison, an mmo will come out, usually with less than half the budget of this game, have many sectors, continents, or even planets depending on the game. with 100's of hrs of unique content. Not playing the same missons for 100'...

Seriously, this is what's wrong with our society today^

He has an opinion, it's obviously not the same as yours. Why is he a troll for stating his opinion? Since when do we live in a totalitarian society where everyone's opinions must conform? You could've just asked what he didn't enjoy, or left it alone. Instead you call him a troll because his views don't match yours. Get over yourself. I'm sure you dislike games others enjoy, and no one c...

So people like me, who haven't purchased any expansions, should spend $80 more, for the game to be fun? I know it's not what you meant, but it doesn't change the fact.

My time in destiny is limited... But; destiny is different in the sense that bosses don't drop a given weapon or armor, like in most mmo's. Fighting hoards of enemies, and bosses has the same equally low chance to drop something worth while. Low level, high level, boss, mini-boss, grunt, it doesn't matter. 99.9% of the time they don't drop anything good, that's if they drop anything at all.

To acquire the items that some people have, requires grinding ...

A friend rage quit and gave me the game for free... I'm still waiting for enough dlc to be worth $20, let alone the $80 they're going to want for all 3 of these dlc's. But I'm happy to wait, as I've invested nothing but time in to the game.

I'm no physics major, but I don't believe you can offload gpu compute. The lag involved with offloading something so time sensitive would be very noticeable and likely not work well at all.

But, offloading physics and ai to a cloud is not a Microsoft exclusive feature. Any computer, or console that's connected to the internet should be able to achieve the same thing.

Crackdown looks impressive, and I love how they'r...
