Must... resist.... making... an account!
well written, but...
3. you will never get an upgradable console. The simple reason is consoles succeed because they all have the same parts and structure. Thus they are very easy to program for, becuase everything is a known quantity. If they are upgradable, developers would have to take the time to program in many other factors, and that just wouldn't be worth it.
and 5. the physical disc medium will likely be extinct here soon. physical copies of ga...
This looks like an incredible game. Im impressed with the fact that I've never even heard of it.
Lol so trying a game before I buy it, so I don't end up wasting my money on a crappy game... Thats whats been killing one of the fastest growing, multiple-billion dollar industries?
Please I'm so tired of somany different companies trying to feed me a load of crap, and telling me it's chocolate cake. If you want more money just come out and say it.
I agree completely. sacraficing graphics for frame rate, is showing the limit of the hardware.
I understand nothing can be completely perfect, but i would rather have a good looking game with a lower but stable frame rate, rather than having a game that looks dated running at 60fps.
example my computer runs ghost recon @ about 300fps... it doesn't mean the game looks all that pretty though.
Sometimes I wonder if this site should change its name to, Shun the non believer.
So he has an opinion, he likes the engine but he doesn't believe the games original. Its easy to see his point.
Just because ID practically invented the fps genre, doesn't mean every game they make is a homerun. They make impressive engines... they don't always make impressive games.
what ever happen to "satan made me do it.".
I agree with the article. Get BF3 for the system you would like to play it on.
If you are disappointed by it, let it be for glitches, or gameplay, or story, or something we haven't seen yet.
If your un-happy becuase you buy it not knowing what its going to be, or because another console, or the pc version is better in your opinion... Then take what you have back and get another game!
Nothing left to say but, Haaaa haaaaa!
Your saying in 2012/13 nintendo will have a console that canplay a pc game from 2007 at max settings!?!?
Well I guess the next gen truly is here! Lol
Some people make me laugh
i have a core i5 2400, and dual 5770's... I'm starting to worry that just wont be enough for this game.
As a serious fan of the series, I must agree with you. It saddens me greatly to say it, but there is so very much wrong with a game, that took entirely to long to make.
I bought it new, and maybe finished 35% of the a-spec side. It kills me to say it but Forza 3 was a much better game. and past the "premium car models" it had better graphics in every respect.
That's not your crotch... That's your wallet.

The "deal" is, before there was ultra-realism, and photo realistic graphics. Games were first and foremost about fun.
Creating a world that is actually a sandbox is a great idea. The only thing that makes the ability to go anywhere better, is to be able to do anything you want, and customize what you want. That makes it a unique experience for everyone, which usually makes it more fun for an individual.
Just remembe...
Omg gimp suit and purple dildo! I've been telling my friends that San andreas would be the only game to give me that setup. Now that I've been proven wrong it's time for me to pony up some preorder money!

I'm more excited to see where tech like this will lead us. I mean this is basically an idea you can expand on in so many directions.
Although being an avid pc gamer, I agree this system is not ready for gaming, and that its to expensive.
But the thought of buying a quad core with 6000 series ati graphics chip, then crossfiring(although it would be more like an sli, over the mobo) to get a bitchin system for what will be an inevitably cheaper price......
Most likely yes!
Not a big fan of amd myself, but I find there new direction intiguing. I really want to know how powerful the onboard gpu's are, and if they can be crossfired.
Lots of questions, but the gaming possibilities have me salivating.
I think this will end up like crysis 2 on consoles. It was overhyped, and when the game came out it was an above average game, but was shunned for all the hype that lead upto it's release.
I see BF3 going much the same way. The pc version will be better, but I see a lot of console owners becoming angry over the hype. And yet another above average game will suffer because of it.
