@orange powerz. I don't disagree with what you're saying at all. So like I said, charge me up front, or find a way to make games cheaper. Which is a concept every other industry in the world has followed. These new ideas aren't just about development costs, although I believe it is a part of it. But more a way to bleed people of their money.

Every game that's eaten up with half the content, or has an inflated season pass, or makes a bundle on microtrans...

Funny, I routinely get 1-2.5MB download speeds from psn. But get 17+ from steam... you know, that free service. But you're right, it works perfect. I'm sure people will tell me it's my connection, right?

Or they can go with the industry standard of years past. You know, release a full game when it's ready, charge a one time fee, announce no dlc, and don't put micro transactions in it. Then if it sells well you could maybe make dlc for more profit. You know, instead of this new model of piss as many people off as we can, as quick as possible, just to see how much money we can squeeze out of people.

I'm not referring to the multitude of questionable decisions with this one game. But square enix as a whole. I.e. releasing tomb raider exclusive for a year on the xbox, and releasing it against fall out 4. The ff7 remake, which isn't a remake, but a complete reimagining, that will also be episodic. Then this game, and there's other evidence that someone has fallen asleep at the wheel.

It would appear the management at square is dead set at running their business in to the ground at full speed without regrets these days.

Because your paying for a game, and often paying for dlc. But the current trend has you paying for a game that usually has half or less the Content. Then purchasing a dlc or pass that costs almost the equivalent of the game. Then instead of unlocking stuff through progression like the good old days, they wall that off and charge you for it.

Yes some times it has no effect on actual gameplay. But multiplayer games especially, make you aware of all the customization optio...

I've never understood the appeal of 9. Granted I played it when it was brand new however many years ago. But I remember clearly that the graphics were inferior to 8. The story was hard to follow, or just flat out bad (once again specifics are fuzzy due to the time that's passed), and it did absolutely nothing new to further the series.

Don't get me wrong, I did like 7 and 8, and I don't hate 9. I just don't remember it being as great as it's coun...

Square logic: our last few interactions seem to be doing poorer than previous installments. So let's take our best selling interation, change it completely, modernize it with new mechanics everyone seems to love, chop it in to multiple pieces to sell at full price multiple times. Genius!

Now just wait for ff7 remake articles stating lower than expected sales numbers, and a shocked square enix.

I've found it fun to draw fire while attacking a military installation. Then hide behind a generator, or substation etc. The enemy npcs will blow it all up for you, in their attempts to kill you.

That's every ea game lately. Massive hype talk, with nothing to back it up. Then the game comes out, everyone buys it making it a "success", and realize it's a horrible or average game.

You would think people would catch on...

Speculation. People have said this for the last 2 years. Maybe new gpus with dx12 will be what 4k, and high res vr gaming need. But I remain cautiously optimistic.

Amd's gpu's this gen have been well under expectation. And Nvidia made a minimal advance. Until 4k @60fps is easily capable on 1 card, 4k gaming will remain mostly for the enthusiasts.

If I can turn my head and look around while driving I will want one. But the ps4 needs a driving game worth having, and that feature alone isn't worth $2-500 for it. That's just my thoughts though.

It's the same ship. That's like painting a Honda civic red and calling it a ferrari. Although you may have used Ferrari red paint, your car is in fact still a Honda civic.

That's not a star destroyer. It's a clone wars Era cruiser.

Regardless, still cool.

Every article I've read, and yes I take them with a grain of salt. Has estimated between 500 and 750 physical copies sold. For the star wars name that's horrible alone. Tack on the fact they told investors they expect to move between 11 and 13 million copies, and yes... I would call that bad.

Again all that is based on articles I've read, and doesn't come from ea. Who are the only real people that know all the numbers.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I found the whole trilogy overhyped, and lacking.

How is this so anticipated? I played all 3 of the previous games. Bio ware did something fun, new, and unique with mass effect. Then ea bought bioware. Then it became a casual rpg for the second one. The third one had a horrible story, a horrible ending, and required you to press a/x (depending on your console) to do absolutely everything. It was a glorified Nintendo game to me at that point, requiring zero skill, or thought to play.

So I have to ask, as many felt the...

At this point, I think it would be easier to wait for the reported bf2. If this one did as horrible as everyone's reporting, then maybe ea will actually do what has been asked for, for a decade or so. Make bf2 prettier, and add and tweak stuff from there. As soon as I played the beta for this, I cancelled my pre-order. I was looking for a predecessor to bf2, not a complete ea/dice reimagining of the game.

Don't know. Ea is taking it on the chin this holiday season. They might have a lot of these games on access fairly soon.

Ff7 fans have been waiting almost 20 years for a chance to relive ff7. Maybe you don't understand, but after asking, and waiting for that long, I believe people would be happy to wait a few more years for a complete experience. Rather than having to pay for each individual bite of what's already a whole meal.

Granted some will buy out of impatience, but I think most will be happy to wait for a complete $60 experience.
